batflecki, no contest

HAHAHAHAHAaaaaa
oh man, oh man, i bet you're serious.
Bale was pretty much made for the role.
>>
>>72103198

Bin Muhammad Al-Affleq
>>
Bale
>>
I think we should hold off until we see the Batman film that is directed by Affleck.

Also, Batfleck better be the same Batman that choked the Joker to death or I don't even.
>>
>>72103198
Bale

Also his costume is better, Batfleck looks like he's made of paper
>>
>>72103198
Batman fight scenes were better with Affleck. Bruce Wayne scenes were better with Bale.
>>
Bale was the better wayne. affleck was the better batman.
>>
Bale, easily.

But he was in two good films and one stellar film, while Batfleck has been in a notoriously shit one so it is kind of unfair. I think Batfleck, while having a cool look, is not really a good Batman and is pretty much dead on arrival. The Nolanverse was an awesome, unique take on Batman while Batfleck just seemed like a 12 year olds version of TDKR.
>>
>>72103338

Old Wayne was played better by Affleck than Bale.

We won't see Affleck play Young Wayne.
>>
I think both of them did a good job, but Batfleck was more enjoyable to watch. Bale fits the role of Bruce Wayne more, but the Batman scenes were mostly lacking, especially the shitty fight scenes
>>
>>72103332
Isn't Joker alive in Suicide Squad?
>>
Batfleck would have no problem with a manlet like Bane
>>
>>72103471
Apparently all of his scenes are flashbacks.
Of course that could just be Marvelcucks spreading lies.
>>
>>72103469

The final fight in TDK was really good, a lot better than the one in batman v superman
>>
>>72103346
I agree with the opposite
>>
>>72103198
Batfleck is substantially better, it's not even close.

Bale looks like a manlet compared to Batfleck. And the fighting choreography and gadget use are substantially better in BvS.
>>
>>72103471

I think so. I hope not.

I had heard he was only in flashback. But now I don't know. That would take discipline.

Harley Quinn doesn't need the Joker in her stories any more. We know the deal with her. I'd be fine with her CALLING HERSELF the Joker in a future film, even.

Leto will have to knock it out the park for me to appreciate them jamming up Batffleck and Harley for the sake of having him in the current continuity.
>>
>>72103531
bale was a terrible batman.

The only scene where he was good as batman is when he was beating up the joker in the interrogation room, and that was only because he was specifically supposed to be weak in that scene.
>>
>>72103502

Pretty much this, Bale is too intimidating in his Batman role.

I have a hard time believing he goes out at night and beats the shit out of criminals and fights injustice. The fake as fuck fight scenes didn't help, either.

I have no problem believing Batfleck goes out and kicks the shit out of criminals, dudes just savage as Batman. Huge as well, like Batman should be. He's a big guy.

I don't think we saw enough of Batfleck as Bruce Wayne though, but in his few appearances I enjoyed it.
>>
>>72103527

Which final fights?

>>
>>72103198
I don't think it's a fair comparison. Bale was a great "realistic" Batman who dropped the ball a bit with the intimidating Bat-voice. Affect is full-on comic book-scale Batman, complete with voice modulator for added spook factor.

I honestly think Bale could have been even better if Nolan's scripts explored the theatricality angle of the Batman persona more in depth. The only scene in the Nolan trilogy that remotely compares to Affleck's intro was Bale's warehouse scene in "Begins."
>>
Bale was goofy Adam West-tier Batman that got overshadowed in his best movie.

>>
Everything about Affleck's version was undeniably better.
>>
>>72104985

It got into a flow from time to time.

I'm thinking more that this one sequence works perfectly by itself, and can be removed from the film without weakening it.

But because parts of it were in the trailer, some of us were hyped for a different kind of film entirely, it was teasing a different ending sequence. Once that scene appeared in the film, I knew we were getting a surprise ending, and I wasn't hopeful.

If it were the trailer, or if it were a trailer, it would have hyped DC fans through the stratosphere, and it would have had the same 'wtf?' effect that the Zod trailers did from MoS.
>>
>>72104145
that second guy he takes down out of the truck should be shot for being so bad, full leg swing before batfleck even swings the gun
>>
2bh after BvS you'd need to be an autistic little baby to still get any enjoyment out of Nolan's Batshit at all.

Snyder changed the game. What was passable in 2008 just doesn't hold up now we've seen far more sophisticated work in the medium.

It's true. Just look at Affleck's steely gaze in the BvS intro as Bruce looks into the sky with fury and determination in the aftermath of superman's. Now compare that to Bale's retarded face at the end of TDKR as he smiles directly into the camera like he's with his family getting his photo taken. Phoning it in completely.

The former exudes "kino" the latter is just reddit. Bale hasn't given a good performance since American Psycho and even that was just shallow gimmick laden meme acting.

I agree with you on that, but Nolan and Synder had two completely different Batman characters in mind.

Bales script definitely had more themes, each movie essentially told a different story, TDK being chaos and corruption, TDKR about pain and overcoming it, etc.

Bales wanted to tell a story moreso than action, Affleck is more about how dark he's become and they want to show all the brutal shit he can do.

Both are good.

Hype as fuck for Afflecks standalone though. Interested to see him interact with the other super heroes in Justice League too.
>>
>>72106189
Bale's Batman was also very different to the average one, Nolan went for too much realism so while it works well as a unique adaptation it also falls short for my expectations of the character.

Citizen Kane was a stepping stone on the way to capeshit. Pro-aesthetic, pro-audience engagement cinema is filth. It birthed the video game. True cinema is the doors barred. The room on fire. The hatchet cleaving through flesh and bone. The plebes who came seeking enjoyment repenting.

I wish death upon every film maker who has produced a film in the IMDB top 1000. The light of elevated anti-enagement art cinema will burn away the flesh from the bones.

baffleck is better visually, in terms of targeted fury, fighting, Bruce voice - Bale was better written, he gave a grounded realism and psychotic attention to compensate for his humanity (while Affleck is a fucking beast)

Caine is the heart of the trilogy, he's so much better by far and Irons wasn't even bad. He's the father figure throughout the whole thing and Bruce making his "father" happy and proud that he's healthy and happy is the ultimate grown up batman moment.

This
Watching Ben affleck was just so..idk the word for it, not cringy, but you just felt like he wasn't meant to be Batman. He just seemed like some angry guy who gets in bar fights every other weekend decided to become batman
Bale on the other hand fit like a glove
He had that natural suave, charm, and mysteriousness to him
>>
>>72103934

mah nigga

Batfleck saved the movie for me and he's the only reason I would watch it again.
>>
>>72104145
This is a fucking pathetic scene though..
>>

batman doesn't have charm, bruce wayne does but it's all an act.
> angry guy

yes that's the real batman. batfleck was infinitely better than bale imo

Batfleck killing the Joker would have no weight, because this Batman is okay with killing.

Batfleck directly killed at least 15 people during the batmobile scene in BvS. It's not a thing he cares about.

Batlfeck was actually Batman from the comic books, especially that warehouse scene

Balefleck was terrible, cringey, twiggy and abysmal, especially with that voice.

I rewatched the Nolan trilogy and it was bad aside from the joker scenes in the TDK

I love this, it perfectly sums up the fear Gotham thugs have for Batman, imagine going out every night hoping he doesn't show up, and then when he finally does the first thing you see is THIS, it explains why they freeze up, don't shoot and fight like retards, he's almost a myth. are you going to be calm and collected while fighting fucking Dracula?

Bale for sure, as batman they're both good but as Bruce, bale was much much better.

we need to see more of Batfleck's batman before we can fully make a decision desu

But for now, Batfleck is my favorite Batman portrayed on film.

>Affleck is 6'4, the same height (or an inch shorter) of Bruce Wayne in the comics
>no raspy chainsmoker voice, voice modulator is intimidating and badass, also the most clever batvoice imo
>actually portrayed doing detective work for once
>best batmobile
>best costume, also most comic faithful
>Affleck genuinely cares for the character and wants to do it justice
>bat brand is badass
>>
Both affleck and irons were better.

Irons is obvious, but the thing they really got right with affleck was how obsessive and crazy batman is. Bale went for realism, but had none of the craziness that would actually drive a man to run around dressed like a bat.

But both are far from perfect, because neither encompass my favourite element of batman, that he's first and for most a detective, though it made some sense with afflecks batman.
>>
>>72116335
There's a difference between killing in a fight and executing.

Executing the joker would be a massive deal. Also, you're forgetting batman very clearly doesn't kill the joker because he believes the system can and does work. Him killing the joker would highlight his loss of faith in humanity, the system, and that people can change.

It kinda makese sense that older batman would put detectiving on the back burner.

We see some form of it at lex's party/batcave.

In the nolan trilogy that aspect of batman is nonexistant, just mindless action/suspense scenes that lead to the next

Bale looked like a regular guy in cosplay. He just didn't seem physically imposing at all and the fight choreography was embarrassing.

>It kinda makese sense that older batman would put detectiving on the back burner.
Yeah that was the point I was making, which is why I said it made a bit of sense with afflecks batman

He's just embraced the idea that he scares criminals straight, basically bully's them into obeying the law. Since that's the case it really doesn't make as much sense for him to be following clues to catch a culprit, instead he'll just go beat the shit out of anyone doing anything suspicious.

Bale really wasn't a good batman. Not so much the acting but the writing of his character, and what he actually does as batman and how that relates to his mental state. Benman was very consistent, brutish batman because of a black & white faithless Bruce

Yes.

He has a flashback scene at the start from 6 months before MoS explaining how he and Harley separated. He ditches Harley to push Batman in to a situation where he can either save her or catch him by weighing her down with weaponry in a massive bag and pushing her off a sewer outlet, where he then escapes while Batman saves Harley.

Then he appears later, seemingly moved on, but ends up realising he wants Harley back

>Bale is a batman based on technology.
It was an unique way of seeing him, because it's almost in a real world with real tech. Okay, he trainned to be a ninja, he knows how to fight and is pretty smart. However in the movies you see a human in a batsuit. In the latter ones i see a batman more fragile. I dont think that is a bad thing, is a way of showing things.

>Batfleck is a batman based on "mythology"
It was awesome to see that even the good people has fear/respect for batman, and even they don't know if he is even human. And the way that he moves and do is stuff is more dark, agile and nightmare inducing.

>About killing.
Do you really think that bale having that fuking tank, driving at high speed chasing dudes or running away from cops would be 100% aware of his surroundings? He should at least run over a stupid pedestrian or a dog, because streets are packed of people almost all the time.

It's a noble thing from a golden era. When the bad people only have knifes or maybe a pistol. Nowadays we have terrorist with heavy weapons. So it would be silly to drag the old way into this new era.

Killing today is necesary because people are more agresive and have more letal power to adquire to do their stuff.

tl;dr: both are good, thank god that the new batman (affleck) is a decent one, we all feared that we would get another batman forever.

Affleck was surprisingly good as a psychotic Batman but Bale's portrayal of Batman as a rising hero and symbol of hope was just much better.

No contest when it comes to Bruce Wayne. Bale nailed it perfectly and really no one right now can touch Nolan's Batman. From Gordon, Joker and Alfred. Hell, even Levitt's Robin is bretty good.
