Women can be funny, but not consistently funny. They need the right environment and the right character. They often try too hard.
Examples; Parks and Rec, 30 Rock, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, The Office, few others.

I think women can be funny....but this movie really wasn't. I think this movie could've been a lot better but it felt flat. I pretty bored while watching it. I'm a bit confused though since people were saying there was a lot of male bashing but I didn't notice anything. I hate how everyone wants a cinematic universe nowadays. The Marvel Cinematic Universe didn't really set out to create one. Marvel didn't have any of their more popular properties to make a movie from do they just did Iron Man and it did well enough that they made more and more movies. Now, the universe is so expansive they have to plan all these movies out so that they come together in a cohesive universe and even then, they have to try their hardest to make sure each movie doesn't feel too much like the others.
Women aren't funny because men aren't that comfortable to laugh at them. So male writers are not comfortable with humiliating or mistreating female characters like they can do to men.

I think we can all agree that the story was very bad, but fully on par with the previous Mad Max films so not really a problem.
It should have been called "Mad sans Max" though, because "Max" himself has zero character and only works as a convenient stooge to get the women what they want, which is to break down a stable society that had managed to secure water and peace.
Emptying the water reservoir in the end was a death sentence, which I think might have been a hidden social commentary on a society run by women. Instant gratification and no long-term prospects, everyone was dead after a month.
