It's alright for a cheesy zombie flick. It's got some pretty good practical effects and a zombie fighting a shark. So if you're into that kind of stuff you'll probably enjoy it.

its cheesy as hell and the acting is atrocious
HOWEVER
this is probably my favourite portrayal of zombies ever - their slow walking is fucking creepy, along with rotten bodies and the whole virus-ridden-tropical-island trope is really interesting and not used enough in horror

I think it's a great movie, really one of the most fantastic Italian films ever made. Very somber, slow, haunting film. It's about the horrors of colonialism, and how expanding eventually destroys not only the conquered but the conqueror as well
