When I was about three or four, I remember Crest having this toothpaste mascot in commercials all the time. This was around the same time that I was beginning to learn about the world, and it was around that time that I was introduced to the concept of God. For reasons I do not fully comprehend, my toddler brain decided that the guy from the Crest toothpaste commercials is what God looks like. To this day it is the first image my mind conjures when hearing the word God.

I also remember when reading the first Harry Potter book, they describe Dubledore as wearing a pointed wizard's hat and half-moon glasses, but I had no idea what the fuck half-moon glasses were, so my mind latched onto the Moonman from the McDonalds commercials, who was an anthropomorphic half moon wearing glasses. That is how I pictured Dumbledore until the movie came out. I also envisioned Snape as looking like Mr Demartino from Daria. Don't know why.
