Anon.. Ships shown in the Prequels were designed to be older models of OT ships. The V-Wings and Eta Interceptors are what the Empire turns into TIE series fighters. Hell, V-Wings shown at the end of ROTS with the newly-entirely-grey-painted Venator capital ships even have the TIE engine sound.
I think the reel looks pretty good. Way better than when TFA's came out. Maybe I'm just a sucker for the concept of a WAR movie in STAR WARS. It's always Jedi karate kicks in the prequels, and the OT has some great stuff with Hoth and whatever, but mostly it's about Luke Han and Leia. The Prequels tried and failed because there were no stakes and too many Jedi being superheroes. I don't care about muh strong wymyns if it has a good supporting cast and the right tone. It should ideally look to replicate the tone of the Hoth battle for it's running time. How they do that I don't know. Even the new additions I like. Mcquarrie drew tons of stuff, and I'd rather see stuff like it rather than just straight copies like TFA.
