I got bored. Everything felt really predictable after a while because all the good guys had too much plot armor.

Basically anytime the Mongols had to attack by sea they were beat. When the Mongols invaded Korea, the Koryo court moved to an island just off Korea and lasted for a long time because the Mongols couldn't attack them.
