Most of them were just holding it as they tried to walk in despite the fact there was a big fucking red sign that said "NO FOOD" at the entrance that was impossible to miss. When that happened I'd just politely tell them they couldn't bring the food in. Most of them they'd apologize or nod and either go quickly eat it or throw it away. Every now and then I'd get someone who get'd belligerent about it and they were almost always white. And man did people try to bring some shit in. There was a Popeye's right around the corner from us, so people trying to bring several bags filled with shit from Popeye's in was common.
The said people were constantly intentionally trying to sneak food in. Purses were the most common method, and more times can I count did they fit entire large bags of popcorn into purses. I wasn't allowed to stop people and ask them to show me their bags unless I saw the food sticking out or judging by the size of the bag and what protruded from it I had reasonable doubt they had food in it. I made some fuckups early on but I got pretty good at it eventually and admittedly that's been a useful skill to have six years later. I kinda hated that job though and don't miss it at all.
