Which is fine except that while I was watching the show, I was taken out of the experience every time a character, event relating to the plot, etc. reminded me of another movie or show. Angela is supposed to be just a normie friend but she's suddenly okay risking her job and getting involved in dangerous situations (confronting that guy who stepped down during the first three episodes andtaking a job at E Corp).Yes, she speaks her mind and is "socially stronger" than Elliot but for someone who scolds Elliot to be more normal, she just plunges herself into a unfamiliar world too quickly.
Nothing against Darlene or Ollie but they were just walking cliches (tough girl curses a lot and acts cool but is actually a softie and cheating douche boyfriend.)
