Maisie, meanwhile, doesn't have great looks with her face, but she can look really cute occasionally. She has a "unique" appearance. she looks great in a dress, she has a really underrated body, but most importantly, she seems like a person. She's fun, bubbly, charming, likes to laugh at herself, has a good sense of humour in general, seems to prefer higher level of cinema over regular flicks, likes to think. I imagine she does party occasionally based on pictures, but she seems more of an introvert than Sophie at least. Her friends and boyfriend are all people from her school, showing she's fairly down to earth still and hasn't let fame make her think she's above people. She does seem passionate about causes, and seems like you could have a good conversation with her.

That would likely cause discord in the family, everyone would be aware of that. If someone did take his place he can't very well push the guy out after he made a vow for life. Giving him his own land would remedy that and help encourage him even above petty wealth.

It's a different situation. The Lannisters don't have another heir because Tyrion is gone and wanted for murder. Lancel couldn't have done it since he became a religious nut and denounced his inheritance. Obviously Kevan would be the one in control but he could only live so long and then it would be Jaime (though really, it was Jaime's to begin with and Kevan likely wouldn't have even fought him for it).
The show seems to have gotten rid of any other Lannisters to further simplify this.

But House Selmy would still be Barristan's by all the laws of gods and men if he was now no longer bound to the oaths. Neither he nor Arstan may like it, but it'd be be law unless the dismissal doesn't actually give a person back their inheritances and birthrights.
And if it doesn't then it'd explain besides hack writing why Jaime after being dismissed wasn't now Lord of Casterly Rock and Kevan was still ruling stuff, and explain why Cersei can be considered the Lady of Casterly Rock. without Jaime being the "rightful" Lord.

What was the point of leaving Lady Stoneheart out? I honestly don't like that character, but it seems like a shocking Catelyn reveal was what they were building toward in the BWB segment this season, then it just sort of fizzled out and went nowhere.

Tywin is an incredibly serious and pragmatic character. He wouldn't just leave a captive highborn girl be because it is the nice or honorable thing to do, he would have taken the appropriate steps to figure out who she was and ransom her or use her as leverage.

It's simple. He's competent in the books, so he'll be treated as such in the show even if he's far less capable as a leader in it.
Also, the Rickon thing probably drenched the panties of every Northener who saw it. Jon, a bastard, charged right towards the enemy army solo to try save his trueborn brother and the rightful heir of Ned Stark despite the fact doing so would go completely against his interests and undermine his claim entirely if he saved him.
Then, as far as his soldiers know, he survived a cavalry charge that he faced directly with just his sword, cut his way through the battle as hundreds died around him, stormed Winterfell alongside his men, then beat the traitor king half to death with his bare fucking hands before handing him over to his sister so she too could exact her rightful vengeance.
He proved he was acting purely out of familial loyalty and love, that he had honour above his station, that his martial prowess is incredible, and that his courage is unquestionable.
Even if Jon were to die in the first episode of season seven, he is going to be remembered for centuries. His actions are the kind of heroic shit the North has told legends of for millenia; he is one of the heroes from the stories the Starks were told as children.
It doesn't matter that, tactically, it was fucking retarded. His men will love him for his actions because they appeal to the ideals their culture values.

There was a lot of dumb plot developments in the last two episodes, but Jon being highly respected and commended by both the Northern lords and his men is not one of them.
