Sleuth (2007) was a bomb and a flop with critics.
Thor (2011) was a hit, but a flop with critics- and Marvel kept him on a tight leash. Those aren't director's movies, they're Kevin Feige movies.
Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014) was a bomb and a flop.
Cinderella (2015) did ok, but who gives a shit?

But he really was great and brilliant in his time. Why not get back to that- he can't use the excuse nobody gives a shit about Shakespeare anymore.
They did a Broken Crown mini-series on the BBC a few years ago- an adaptation of Shakespeare's 3 or 4 late histories all set in chronological order to tell a continuing story. It was a big hit. I don't know why Kenny isn't doing shit like that. Or what about doing a version of Paradise Lost, or some Moliere? The Faerie Queene by Edmund Spenser? Johnson's Volpone play? George Peele plays?
