It contains every version of the film.
The 85 minute Australian version is one of my favs but that 81 minute Screwhead one is so terrible.

It's more the collecting and curating/placement/organizing that I like.The two aren't mutually exclusive.
Generally, I don't buy a film I haven't seen, unless it's a real POS vhs tape, or something 'classic' I'd want to have regardless.
Internet's great for a 'gimmie now', I pirate a ton, but it's not the same and it's not for the same thing.

It's just pretty much going to be the 'definitive' version of a film. (Format death notwithstanding)
Best transfers and best supplemental material.
Not only do you get some nice making ofs and commentaries, but you usually get some sort of booklet filled with art, or interviews, or essays or whatever. (Like Salo comes with a small paperback, for instance.)
Only thing is, I hate their fucking covers.
