McBride is absolutely unapologetic, and committed to the jokes, and it's this commitment that makes them work far more often than not.
Combine McBride's delivery with a cast that includes Will Ferrell (who is fucking ridiculous), Craig Robinson (another great comedic actor), and eventually, Don Johnson and Lilly Tomlin, and you've got the makings of some pretty good comedy.
