Yeah, I thought the same. Other influential greats that didn't make the list are Huston, Wilder, Hawks, Lang... there are also others like Spielberg, which were probably excluded because they're just too mainstream for the likes of OP.
But to be perfectly honest though, ranking directors like this is something only a literal child would do.
