I've read excerpts of Legend of the Elemental Masters (or whatever it's called). That book was mostly someone with severe OCD describing every detail of scenes using scientific measurements accurate to several sig figs. It's very boring but the way he transitions between scenes and marks passage of time is unique and strangely good.
