Talons of Weng Chiang is a six-parter, but I just finished part four and honestly, if this was a Pertwee serial and The Master was behind everything, the serial could have just ended there. The way Episode Four plays out and particularly ends, I feel like I've alreayd hit the climax.

The policy sounds rude, no matter how much it makes sense. Saying they don't dedicate programmes to "members of the public" makes it sound like we're all beneath those who work in TV.
It's also a stupid policy anyway and one I very much doubt they'd adhere to if they didn't want to. If Moffat's mum died and he wanted to dedicate an episode to her nobody at the BBC would tell him he couldn't.

I think the different door is basically meant to stress that inside and outside are completely different dimensions. A door that's one way in one dimension is completely different in the other. It was kind of a nice jarring effect but I see how it could have been deeply impractical for the kind of things they want to do.

That's an interesting idea, one that could be shown much better with modern technology. A lot of the time in the classic series it gave the impression that it didn't lead straight outside but to some sort of dark room inbetween. But then I think I remember instances where the outside was shown through the doorway from the interior too, although rarely.
The RTD era TARDIS works for Eccleston's Doctor. Not so much Tennant's though. The way they lit it throughout the Tennant era was stupid as well

Grace's (and the Doctor's) main motivation in the first part of the movie is finding out who and what he is, it's the big central mystery, and the scenes that relate to it are really great. The amnesiac doctor in the hospital, etc.
