The events being staged to go viral as villain's plan was a great idea. Unfortunately plot not making sense is not actually a foreshadowing in Doctor Who. Also the set was way too dark, and characters are boring.

The monsters failed on the one key aspect of Doctor Who monsters. They either need a personality, or a unique way of killing you. New showrunner is a much bigger change than new Doctor. S11 is going to feel like a new show regardless of which actors stay. Also, there's no way Moffat would know if Peter's staying for S11 or not so it would be sorta weird/rude of him to try and make S10 feel too new and make a brand new intro or whatever.

I actually see an incremental uptick in his writing - Dinosaurs is a bit better than 42, which is a bit better than Cyberwoman/sex gas episode on Torchwood. Broadchurch S3 will be really interesting, since he's writing it with the knowledge he'll have to start running Doctor Who almost immediately after.
