So someone tell me. Just saw this last night and got to thinking:

John Goodman knew about the green gas shit, right?

But when he said "you don't know what's out there" even knowing that she had made a gas suit, it led me to believe he also knew about the creatures.

Goodman knew about the Creatures, right?

It's so much better. It even sets up the shitty sequel without the horrific "I'M GUNNA SAVE HUMANATEE" moment at the very end.

the ending of the original script shows her drive to a place that reveals a destroyed chicago skyline.

would've been cool if the monster from the first movie (or a relative) was shown destroying everything, then cut to black.
