Personally i find brave new world to be the more prophetic of the two since it really nails down the whole theme of the road to hell being paved with good intentions.

The Peter Cushing versioncs my favourite so Bassfiender or Hiddletron spring to mind. That being said I think the Hurt version is plenty for anyone who wants a visual version of the story. Big budget modern effects etc. would be pointless.
