You don't get taxes back unless you lose money after all of your expenses. And individual movies don't file. It would be included in the consolidated statements of the studio or producer.

I'd suspect the foreign percentage to be a bit bigger, at least for China.
Legendary is practically owned by Wanda, a Chinese company. And if I recall correctly, roughly 80 of the 100-something theaters showing it in China on opening week were owned by Wanda.

I don't think we are getting an Ultimate Cut. Duncan Jones had said that some of the cgi of the cut scenes were not finished so they have to pour more money into that for them to be on par with the rest of the movie.

Are you retarded ? Of course it didn't have a $400 million marketing budget. First off, the real marketing budgets are NEVER revealed to the public, so anything 'official' you've read is pure nonsense.
Based on industry sources ~$100 million marketing budgets are extremely rare, typically they are around ~$60 for the so-called 'tenthpole films' .
Also, while the movie box office gross is the most important revenue, there is some money (as in several millions) made on product placement in films. DVD's and BluRay's are quickly losing steam but increased VOD/PPV is making up for some of that.
Overall I'd wager Warcraft will break even, which makes it a poor fit for a sequel.
