Why was Homer such an inexcusable piece of shit in this episode? He's irrationally antagonistic towards Bart the entire time. Besides being a grim portent of the "Jerk Homer" to come in the zombie age, his attitude of mocking Bart for wanting a scouting knife goes completely against previous episodes where Homer tries to get the family to learn the joys outdoor camping and survival.
