I don't see a way it would be avoidable, if she just continues this mary sue stuff it would derive so far from the source material that I think it would mean the story would end differently, when it has been said that regardless of how derivative the TV show becomes it will have the same ending. She's rash, unstable, and a poor leader by bringing her in and allying her to the only "good" side there is; the Starks, it would focus purely on the Others as the enemy, with no more political drama and purely relationship drama. The show would collapse and be gay as shit, the television version revealed too much about the Others for anyone to solely care about them.

What was the point of Qyburn killing Pycelle using the little birds? Wouldn't he have just been blown up in the sept anyway?
I would have not killed Uncle Kevan and Pycelle (or maybe just uncle Kevan) and had them have to deal with evil queen Cersei instead. THEN Varys could make way for Dany by killing Kevan, who was starting to fix things.
I just don't understand why they did it this way. Kevan could've been a great character in the show. Varys could've been a great character too. Instead they are just wasting all these secondary characters who have wonderful potential to make these stories pithy.
This isn't about my favorite book scene being cut. They just completely dumbed it down and omitted characters for what appears to be no reason. What was the pay off? The choice to reveal it when they did is actually baffling to me because it had NO setup and no reason to happen when it did. It means absolutely nothing in the context it was in. They could have waited to reveal it at a point where it would actually be game-changing because it actually meant something to any of the characters, but they didn't, they had to pander to the audience and get it out of their system right now because d&d cant fucking write to save their lives.
