Yeah, it gets pretty intense. Even when shit's not going down there's still an awesome sense of dread.

Whats the official explanation? One way I see it the witch used ThomaSIN as portable wi-fi for her powers because she had lewd thoughts or some shit, hence her confession in the beginning, but I'm lost on what the fuck was the babby for. I feel like the movie was too short and didn't give characters enough time to develop, Black Phillip is best though

The devil drove her family mad using his witches and taking the form of the animals to bewitch the twins. The babby was some kind of restorative sacrifice, I assume rubbing the babby salve all over her body kept the witches powers up or something. It wasn't too short and the characterization was fine, you should watch more movies.
