In my opinion, anyone who watches movies on their phone or laptop haven't truly seen the movies. TV's are the only acceptable option.
50" plasma TV in the living room with good Bluetooth headphones (I live in a small apartment).
At a theater or on my computer.
On my thinkpad T420 running Gentoo/Linux.
pc, because I'm too poor for a TV. I've been watching a film a month or even less because I just dont feel like sitting on a computer chair for 2-3 hours for a movie.
I've watched a couple on my phone too. old ones like pre 50s when they're available on youtube or something

forgot to add I also have to wait for torrent releases as I have no other option. I live in shithole and the local theater only plays shitty blockbusters on 2 screens with like 40 seats each. It's fucking sad and by the time the film is out on torrent no one's talking about it anymore and I've already forgotten.venting my frustrations
On my phone, but I don't watch the screen. I just listen to them with headphones while I work.

My father let me design and build a home theater. So on a giant screen in a comfy recliner. The only downside is the popcorn machine has to be in there so it always smells of salt and "butter"

TV, sometimes on pc monitor if it's something that I don't need to concentrate much. Kinda just plays on the background while doing other shit.
I have a 42 inch LCD with a mid range soundbar and subwoofer.
If you dont have some kind of sound system youre missing out.

Also airplay to the apple tv. Plex for PS4 is nice.
