I saw the first episode and got turned off. I'm not paying exorbitant prices for the fucking crust of a lasagna. I don't care how artsy it's supposed to be. I get fine dining but that's bullshit.

it's interesting watching chefs that function and reason like architects, the profession in real life is such an unsexy and 'bro'ish world so it's nice seeing the artsy and 'soft' side of the profession

Hit or miss, I can't remember the first season too well but the Patagonian hermit episode was great. Second season wasn't bad either, French qt and Brazilian guy especially.
