I've had this theory about the Joker in Suicide Squad being Robin for a long time now. I'm glad to see there's more actual evidence. Though, honestly, I hope they don't bring in the "original Joker" at all. I like the idea that Batman killed the Joker for what he did to Robin, but the Joker continues to live on in Robin because of how the Joker broke his mind. It really expands on the whole "The Joker is an idea/concept/ideal" thing DC has always tried to put across.

There's this theory going around that this Joker is not the original Joker, but was formerly Robin (Jason Todd?) he has a dead bird tattoo, and on the poster where it has all their faces, dead birds make the Joker's eyes. Basically the idea is that the Joker tortured Robin, and mindfucked him so hard that he wants to be the Joker, hence all the tattoos and edginess.
Or maybe it is the real Joker and the dead bird symbolism is just because he killed Robin. All in all, nobody should be giving a shit about the tattoos, get a grip losers.
