He was a fan of The Wire, so he wanted to add a subplot where the Hulk becomes friends with the guy who played Omar. He also wanted to include the origin story and Louis Letterier had to strike him down with the logic that people remembered the Ang Lee version was only a few years ago.
He also wanted to rewrite the Avengers script which was the straw that broke the camel's back for Marvel.
