Underneath the silly paranoia, Dale by far has the purest and most compassionate heart of all the KotH characters. Hank is respectable as he has a well defined (arguably to a fault) sense of duty and how people ideally should act, but he's also emotionally repressed and has a hard time adapting to people with emotions and motivations that aren't within his definitions.
With more Hank Hills, there'd be more people tobe my friend through crippling depression a la Bill Dauteriveplease
