I've always found it ironic that most naziboos are the same kinds of people that would have been shot.

I want a Hitler documentary about his early years and the rise to power.

I've seen pic and it's comic book tier. Hitler is shouting, angry and unpleasant to be around all the time.

It would be more chilling if Adolf was charming, smart enough to play on peoples desires and fears.

>"The Young Hitler I Knew is the first complete English translation of the extraordinary memoir of Hitler's closest childhood friend, August Kubizek. This fascinating account gives a rare glimpse into Hitler's formative years and provides important insights into his personality and mindset during this time"

Just a Stand By Me friendship movie with this as the subject would suffice.

Adolf Hitler: The Greatest Story Never Told.

Ignore the /pol/tards who make it seem like some anti-jew propaganda film. It's actually a very well sourced, unbiased look at Hitler's life and his rise to power. It also mentions a lot of the atrocities carried out by Russia and the West, which we don't usually get to hear about because obviously Western media usually portrays Germany as evil and everyone else as the heroes. TGSNT pretty much shows everyone to be an asshole equally. It's a refreshing change, and it has some very interesting content. Well worth the watch, IMO.
>>
>>71106076
"Er ist wieder da" is quite kind to him. It's pretty good actually.

> On 4 August of that year, Kubizek received an unexpected reply from Hitler, who wrote to his old friend "Gustl" saying, "I should be very glad... to revive once more with you those memories of the best years of my life."[4] Thirty years after Hitler had broken off contact with Kubizek, the two friends were reunited on 9 April 1938 during one of Hitler's visits in Linz. The two spoke for over an hour at the Hotel Weinzinger and Hitler offered Kubizek the conductorship of an orchestra, which Kubizek politely refused. Upon learning of his friend's three sons, Hitler insisted on financing their educations at the Anton Bruckner Conservatory in Linz. Hitler later invited Kubizek to attend the Bayreuth festival as his guest in 1939 and again in 1940, experiences described by Kubizek as "the happiest hours of my earthly existence."

This is actually a pretty fucking interesting take on the war tbqh m8. It's six hours long though, so it should be watched as a series. Luckily it's segmented as such.

Too bad it doesn't portray German atrocities.

And I'm not even speaking about Holocaust.

It wouldn't be true. I recommend you to read something about Germans and their culture. Something about Volkish movement, Weimar Republic and the Wilhelmine society.

Hitler's 'rise to power' wasn't a very long process. He and NSDAP were virtually irrelevant before 1929.

>German federal election, 1928
>NSDAP - 2.6%
>SPD (social-democrats) - 29.8%
>DNVP (conservatives) - 14.2%
>Zentrum (Catholics) - 12.1%
>KPD (communists) - 10.6%

Contrary to /pol/, most Germans were perfectly fine with this so-called degeneracy of Weimar Republic.
>>
>>71107732
>taking an obvious joke seriously
Fucking hell, Anon.

Anyway, to address your point, TGSNT shows plenty of bad shit the Germans did, it just doesn't demonise them for it and tends to then compare it to something horrible the West did with the message that, "War is war, and it's horrendous. But one side shouldn't get off scott free while the other is held as heroic and untouchable." It misses a whole bunch of shit, yeah, I agree, but it's a nice change to see a take on the war that isn't just hate-masturbation on Germany. There's enough of that around as it is.
>>
>>71107875
They deserve to be demonized.
>>
>>71107463
>im edgy therefore hes not bad
>>
>>71107875
I'm sensitive about it, because my ancestors were in the village that got massacred just for fucking fun by Germans.
Later Soviets came and raped everything that still moved.
>>
>>71107875
I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be a war if germans weren't such assholes
ww2 was a one side war, there wasn't a grey area
>>
>>71106076
>It would be more chilling if Adolf was charming, smart enough to play on peoples desires and fears.

voting nazi was a protest vote. it wasn't about masterful manipulation, it was about people being desperate enough to vote for the weirdos during a crisis because the "normal" political scene was a fractured, indecisive mess.
>>
>>71107875
>but it's a nice change to see a take on the war that isn't just hate-masturbation on Germany.

or you could just read a book instead of watching shitty documentaries. 99% of historical documentary shows on any subject are basically history-themed tabloids.
>>
>>71108481
I agree. Documentaries are the best when they are about something more simple and less controversial.
>>
> Arnold is charming
> Manlet, with weirdo haircut and mustache, doing racial rants with a trembling voice

Matter of opinion, likely based on not being brought up on the propaganda that they were monsters. Read more, check the actual evidence, not lies based on newsreels from the day by papers owned by the same banking cartel Hitler kicked out of Germany, then perpetuated by jewish film makers.

>>71108119
>I'm sensitive about it, because my ancestors were in the village that got massacred just for fucking fun by Germans.
Were you there? Did you see it with your own eyes? War is horrific, and all sides did some horrible shit, but I very much doubt that an army, during a war with limited resources, would massacre an entire village just for fun.

>>71108209
WW2 started because Hitler wanted the German land back that was taken by Poland at the end of WW1. The land itself blocked a part of Germany that was within the Polish mainland, in which the German people were treated like animals. Hitler warned Poland that he would take it by force if passage was not given, Poland told him to go fuck himself. If this was going on with any other country these days, no one would begrudge say the US for doing the same to protect its citizens. The West got involved due to pressure from the jewish banking cartel because Hitler had evicted them in favour of a centralised banking system. He implored England not to start a war a number of times (seven, if I recall). Hitler was not the aggressor.

All of this is very reliably sourced in TGSNT, by the way, and you can see it for yourself, But, of course, you won't. You'll believe the Hollywood murder porn without questioning it because, obviously, films never lie, and 'your' country is always the good guy who dindu nuttin.

No, it's some skinhead from Russia.
>>
>>71104689
Those are both slavs to be fair. So technically the nazis were right
>>
>>71108374
Yeah, you're right. People didn't fucking LOVE the nazis, because Hitler didn't bring the country from a state of depression and debauchery to the leading world economy and a relative paradise within the space of a few years.

Say want you want about his jew cookery, but Hitler did fix Germany.

The Nazis from BBC is a good one. They've made a lot of interviews with ex-Nazis and even asked them how they felt about working at death camps. They shrugged it off with a laugh. :)

>Hitler warned Poland that he would take it by force if passage was not given, Poland told him to go fuck himself
Poland was fully in the right to do so. Hitler should have made his case before the Great Powers, not threatened a country that received the land due to LoN-mandated plebiscite.

>but I very much doubt that an army, during a war with limited resources, would massacre an entire village just for fun.
That's exactly what the Germans would do in Eastern Europe, because subhumans lol.

I love when people try to say that all war crimes were by the SS, when it's the Wehrmacht that commited the most.
