Very close to the books so far in a way, Michael Connelly is directly involved and they are using parts of the novels to make a season, instead of a direct conversion of one book into one season.
Season 1 take in parts of City of Bones, Echo Park, and The Concrete Blonde.
While season 2 has Trunk Music, The Drop, and The Last Coyote.
Season 3 is supposed to be based off material from The Black Echo and elements of A Darkness More Than Night
