I've seen heaps of people suggest that Sansa didn't tell Jon about the Vale forces because she wants to be Queen of the North and Jon and his forces were a threat to that.
But that still makes no sense. If she marries Littlefinger or Sweet Robin and claims royal control over the region she would just end up moving into the Vale to be a baby making machine for either lad, and Jon/Rickon/Bran would still get the North as Warden at the very least.

No, it's just ridiculous. Bodies might build up at chokepoints in a battle, which this one didn't have. The only time bodies would ever build up like that is beneath an assault on a wall, and even then, seeing it rise 6ft high is still a stretch.

"Nothing happening" is a good thing. Season was comfy (all things considered) and there will be more stuff to read in the books.
Seriously, only things that happened that were a huge deal were Jon being resurrected (as if we don't know he's not even dead in the books or if he is, he will be rez'd), battle of Meereen being won (we knew this will be years ago when those chapters leaked), Daenerys getting Dothraki on her side which was also as clear as day. Bran? Same basically. He already had visions before. And Stannis/Winterfell plot will be different altogether and Jon/Sansa reunion won't even happened until the end of the book, if even then. I personally can't wait to read more about Stannis. He's literally still alive.
Only thing that's actually new is burning King's Landing.

They've already exhausted the book material. This season is almost entirely fanfiction, same with the last season in fact. Actually the case isn't that there wasn't enough book material, it's that they made a lot of really bad decisions around season 3 that came home to roost in season 5 and 6, namely cutting out entire subplots and perspective characters for the sake of reducing the size of the cast and simplifying the story for television. In some cases they actually killed off characters for no reason that never died in the books (Barristan Selmy, Jojen Reed, Doran Martell etc).
The only reason they still have book material at all is because of how badly they fucked up the timeline by rushing some people's stories and not bothering to start others' until just recently.
