In honor of Anton Yelchin, we can have a thread about stupid/freak/weird /tv/ related deaths?

Instead of Lupe Velez's toilet death, I'll start with David Carradine

>On June 3, 2009, at the age of 72, David Carradine was found dead in his room at the SwissĂ´tel Nai Lert Park Hotel on Wireless Road, near Sukhumvit Road, in central Bangkok, Thailand.[5][5][81] He was in Bangkok to shoot his latest film, titled Stretch.[81] A police official said that Carradine was found naked, hanging by a rope in the room's closet,[82][83] causing immediate speculation that his death was suicide. However, reported evidence suggested that his death was accidental, the result of autoerotic asphyxiation. Two autopsies were conducted, one involving the celebrity pathologist Pornthip Rojanasunan, and both concluded that the death was not a suicide.[84][85][86][87][88] The cause of death became widely accepted as "accidental asphyxiation"

Natasha Richardson didn't hit a tree, she just fell over and bumped her head. Didn't seem like a major accident, so she just got up and shrugged it off. A little while later, she collapsed of a brain hemorrhage. That's an example of why doctors are so wary of head trauma - even things that seem like nothing can turn fatal with little warning.

>On October 12, 1984, the cast and crew of Cover Up were filming the seventh episode of the series, "Golden Opportunity", on Stage 17 of the 20th Century Fox lot. One of the scenes filmed that day called for Hexum's character to load bullets into a .44 Magnum handgun, so he was provided with a functional real gun and live blanks. When the scene did not play as the director wanted it to play in the master shot, there was a delay in filming. Hexum became restless and impatient during the delay and began playing around to lighten the mood. Apparently, he had unloaded all but one (blank) round, spun it, and, apparently simulating Russian roulette with what he thought was a harmless weapon, at 5:15 p.m., he put the revolver to his right temple and pulled the trigger.

>>
>>71057356
Yes.
Blanks are a cartridge without a bullet.
When fired, all the energy of a regular gunshot still goes off, but only gas and parts of the casing come out of the barrel instead of a bullet.
Normally, all that energy dissipates a short distance out of the barrel.
But if you hold it up to your head, you don't need a bullet to project the force of the exploding gunpowder.
>>

If you're American, just a trip to the hospital costs several thousand dollar.
Ambulances aren't free.
They're run by private corporations.

Then there's the cost of getting checked out. Doctor's don't work for free.

And if there's nothing wrong with you, the insurance company will deny coverage because there's nothing truly there to cover, now is there?

Now you're $100,000 + in debt.

Ignorance and brainwashing.
>>
>>71058158
that's a bit of an exaggeration, but many of us are trying to fix it by campaigning for universal healthcare

the problem is mainly this>>71058292, people say we can't have that because OMG THAT'S SOCIALISM, and MUH SMALL GOVERNMENT, and oh we can't possibly have that America's too big despite the fact that we already have universal pensions (social security) despite the size of the country.

Shillary is against it because its not supported by a majority of americans (though I'm sure she'd be in favor of it if more people were) and Drumpf is against it because it wouldn't benefit the rich.

A lot of its opposition also has to do with the whole meme Americans love of we need to be self reliant and pull ourselves up from our bootstraps.
>>
>>71058443
>Shillary is against it because its not supported by a majority of americans
She's against because insurance companies pay her to be.
Public opinion has nothing to do with her policies. Her job is to make the most profitable option acceptable to the public. That's her job.

>>
>>71058443
Social security is one of the biggest messes we have right now, if you implement it at a state level that's fine but universal healthcare with our bureaucracy (and 300 million people) will be impossible.

I understand Bernie promised you these nice things but he doesn't understand that we're $20 trillion in the red as it is.
>>
>>71058573
Ignore him, he's a redditor who has to use John Oliver memes to describe his political views.
>>
>>71058704
>universal healthcare with our bureaucracy (and 300 million people)
So why does it work in most european countries? EU has 600,000,000 people
>>
>>71058704
despite what you might think, social security is not "one of the biggest messes we have right now" we'll find the money for it, but it will probably require raising taxes.

Did you know that the payroll tax for social security currently caps out at $118,500 a year, if we removed that cap and made the ultra rich pay their share just like the rest of us that alone would cut the social security budget shortfall in half. We have the money, we just choose not to collect it, or spend it on pointless shit like a war in Iraq.

And by the way, since you seem to be a trump supporter can you please explain to me how he plans to expand the military without raising new taxes to pay for it when "we're $20 trillion in the red as it is"? I only ask because he hasn't.

>>71058741
>he said a mean thing about Trump, its ok just ignore all his arguments now
do you have a better insult for Trump than a John Oliver meme, because I'll admit Drumpf isn't that great but its all I've got atm.
>>
>>71058704
This whole meme about "not having enough money" thing has to end.

The US pays MORE per capita on healthcare than any other Western country.
To increase taxes to cover universal healthcare would actually save people money.
>>
>>71058920
>do you have a better insult for Trump

it pains me to say this but you're right, insults are fun though

anyway my point in using those insults was to show my dismay at the fact that my options in this election are a complete idiot who says some quite frankly disturbing things and never goes into specifics on his policies, or the least inspiring politician I've ever seen in my life who is clearly in the pocket of corporate interests diametrically opposed to my own.

Trump's wealth has been massively overstated (by him) just because his name is on the building doesn't mean he owns it. His share of equity is quite small. Anyone could become as rich as him if they inherited as much money as he did, infact his self stated wealth is only around 2% more than it would have been if he had simply indexed all his money when he inherited it.

but anyway none of that matters since personal wealth has no bearing on someone's political experience or policies, so I don't really understand why you brought it up

ok then, please explain to me how he is going to increase the size of the military and reduce the national debt without raising taxes.

When there is a big shift of public thought due to war or disaster, opinion can shift fast enough to want someone new.

It was good coincidence that there was a Republican in the White House and therefore could really work the WAR RA RA angle after 9/11.

Again you're assuming that it was a study of people who were treated rather than were diagnosed.

Again, you'd be wrong.

>Cancer survival varies widely between countries. The CONCORD study provides survival estimates for 1.9 million adults (aged 15-99 years) diagnosed with a first, primary, invasive cancer of the breast (women), colon, rectum, or prostate during 1990-94 and followed up to 1999, by use of individual tumour records from 101 population-based cancer registries in 31 countries on five continents. This is, to our knowledge, the first worldwide analysis of cancer survival, with standard quality-control procedures and identical analytic methods for all datasets.

idk about that one, I think after 9/11 there would have been a bigger push from republicans to invade Afghanistan straight away without waiting to build an actual coalition like Bush did, so things may have gone worse there. However there wouldn't have been an Iraq war.

That's a shame, we almost had an entertaining /tv/-related thread. Well, here's my contribution, about Mary Kay Bergman who voiced all the female characters in the early seasons of South Park:

>She spoke to a friend on the telephone at approximately 9pm on the 11th. An hour and twenty minutes later, her husband and a friend returned home to find her dead. There was suicide note, and a Mossberg 12 gauge shotgun still pointing at her head.

>She had put the barrel against her forehead just above her nose. The top of her head had been blown off and her brain was lying on the carpet, 2 feet away. They found blood, brain matter and skull fragments all around the room, on the walls, and on several wrapped Christmas presents.

The flames quickly spread throughout the apartment and the building. At 6:15 a.m., the blaze was discovered by Deputy Sherriff Jon DiMatteo, who evacuated the building and entered Cassidy's apartment. A charred body was found in the doorway of the apartment. As Cassidy's car was missing, his family hoped that he had traveled to Palm Springs, as he had apparently intended the following day. Someone could have found her and saved her from CO2 asphyxiation, and then she'd have to live with being labelled a suicide risk. No one would trust her.

A shotgun is pretty definitely "I'm fucking done".

Also CO2 asphyxiation is a terrible way to go. What you want is CO inhalation. The way your brains tell us we need to breathe is not due to lack of O2, but overabundance of CO2 in the blood. So if you're breathing CO2, you'll be taking deep breaths but you'll always feel the need to breathe more and more. Like hold your breath as long as you can. That urge to breathe will get stronger and stronger and if you can't empty your blood of CO2, it'll never go away. That's a shitty way to go.

CO, on the other hand, bonds with haemoglobin preferentially over O2. So it feels like you're breathing fine. Not even winded. Your body is taking out CO2 just fine, but O2 is being replaced by a useless gas. You'll just feel sleepy. And then, when you close your eyes, you'll never open them again.

Most suicides are impulse-driven, except for cases of long-term illnesses etc. You don't go shopping for the best way to do it. You grab what you've got handy and do it. It's also easier to go through with it if it's a quick way.

I had an ER send me a crazy bill for a minor stitching, I just ignored it and it's been 5 years with no issues. I get calls from collectors every now and then, but they can't do a thing to make me pay.

This is what happens when euros don't do their research.

>On May 5, 1968, Albert Dekker was found dead in his Hollywood home by his fiancée, Geraldine Saunders. He was naked, kneeling in the bathtub, with a noose tightly wrapped around his neck and looped around the shower curtain rod. He was blindfolded, his wrists were handcuffed, there was a ball gag in his mouth, and two hypodermic needles were inserted in one arm. His body was covered in explicit words and drawings in red lipstick. Money and camera equipment were missing, but there was no sign of forced entry. Though speculation ran rampant, the coroner found no evidence of foul play, and ruled his death accidental due to autoerotic asphyxiation.

You know, there are a lot of middle class families barely scraping by that play life as safely as possible and usually aren't screwed by this system because of that. These families that are scraping by are fucked if your universal healthcare shit ever took off, they will go bankrupt because of OTHER people's medical bills. I guess that's the ideal vision for the "democratic socialist", everyone must be homeless and poor.

Just fuck off with it, now is not the time, especially when there's rampant illegal immigration that the gov't doesn't want to solve adding even greater amount of pressure to that sort of system.

In January 1985, Carol Wayne and a male companion were vacationing at the Las Hadas Resort in Manzanillo, Colima, Mexico. After they had an argument, Wayne reportedly took a walk on the beach. Three days later a local fisherman found Wayne's body in the shallow bay. An autopsy performed in Mexico revealed no signs of drugs or alcohol in her body. Her death was ruled "accidental".

While it's not certain that this guy is dead, he's been missing for a decade and that in and of itself is extremely fascinating to me. I'm obsessed with missing persons cases, but it's even more strange when someone of some notoriety goes missing.

>"Pichler was last heard from at approximately 4:15 a.m. on January 5, 2006 in Bremerton, Washington, when he talked to a friend on his cellular phone. He has never been heard from again. His silver 2005 Toyota Corolla was found on January 9, 2006, near the intersection of Wheaton Way and Sheridan Road in Bremerton, half a mile from Port Madison Narrows. A photograph of the car is posted below this case summary. All of Pichler's personal belongings were left behind when he vanished, with the exception of his wallet and car keys. His apartment was unlocked and the lights were left on, which is uncharacteristic of him.
Pichler is considered to be in danger; he left some poetry indicating he was feeling depressed. He stated he wished he had been a "stronger brother" for his younger brother and asked that his brother be given his belongings. There is no hard evidence that he took his own life, however, and Pichler's writings did not explicitly state he intended to do so. The friends who last saw him stated he was in good spirits while he was with them. Police theorized Pichler committed suicide by jumping off a bridge into the Port Madison Narrows, but search dogs did not trace his scent to the bridge, and his family does not believe he was depressed or suicidal at the time of his disappearance. His loved ones believe Pichler may have met with foul play."

>Edwards disappeared on 1 February 1995, on the day when he and James Dean Bradfield were due to fly to the US on a promotional tour.[19] In the two weeks before his disappearance, Edwards withdrew ÂŁ200 a day from his bank account, which totalled ÂŁ2800 by the day of the scheduled flight.[20][21] He checked out of the Embassy Hotel in Bayswater Road, London, at seven in the morning, and then drove to his apartment in Cardiff, Wales.[20][22] In the two weeks that followed he was apparently spotted in the Newport passport office,[23] and the Newport bus station.[20][24] On 7 February, a taxi driver from Newport supposedly picked up Edwards from the King's Hotel in Newport, and drove him around the valleys, including Blackwood (Edwards' home as a child). The passenger got out at the Severn View service station near Aust, South Gloucestershire, and paid the ÂŁ68 fare in cash.[22][25]
On 14 February, Edwards' Vauxhall Cavalier received a parking ticket at the Severn View service station and on 17 February, the vehicle was reported as abandoned. Police discovered the battery to be flat, with evidence that the car had been lived in.[19][20][26] Due to the service station's proximity to the Severn Bridge (which has been a renowned suicide location in the past)[27] it was widely believed that he took his own life by jumping from the bridge.[28] Many people who knew him, however, have said that he was never the type to contemplate suicide and he himself was quoted in 1994 as saying "In terms of the 'S' word, that does not enter my mind. And it never has done, in terms of an attempt. Because I am stronger than that. I might be a weak person, but I can take pain.

>The autopsy report revealed that Wood had bruises on her body and arms as well as an abrasion on her left cheek.[46]

>Later, in his book Pieces of My Heart, Wagner acknowledged that he had a fight with Wood before she disappeared.[46] The autopsy also found that Wood's blood alcohol level was 0.14%, and there were traces of two types of medication in her bloodstream: a motion-sickness pill and a painkiller, which increase the effects of alcohol.[47] Following his investigation, Los Angeles County coroner Thomas Noguchi ruled her death an accident by drowning and hypothermia.[48] According to the coroner, Wood had been drinking and may have slipped while trying to re-board the dinghy.[46]

According to Hunter's wife Emily, he "...went into shock" on the plane ride back to the United States after filming and "..couldn't speak. He could hardly move." After landing, Hunter was taken to Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles but doctors could not find any serious injuries save for a displaced vertebra and a concussion.[14]

Owen Hart (1965-1999)
>When Owen Hart was to challenge The Godfather for the WWF Intercontinental Champion's title, he was performing as the Blue Blazer.[19] The character was a superhero gimmick that parodied various wrestlers.[23] At Over the Edge, Hart was to emulate World Championship Wrestling (WCW) wrestler Sting's (Steve Borden) ring entrance by descending from the arena rafters into the ring.[24][25] The entrance was successfully tested on the November 15, 1998, episode of Sunday Night Heat;[26] however, during his descent at Over the Edge, a cable disengaged from the safety vest he wore, and he fell more than 70 feet (21 m) from the rafters into the ring. As he fell, his chest landed on one of the ring's padded turnbuckles.[23] The accident was not viewed by television viewers. A pre-recorded interview video was shown at the start of Hart's descent, and when the broadcast returned live, the cameras quickly turned away from the ring to the audience. Soon afterward, Jim Ross, one of the commentators of the event, informed pay-per-view viewers that Hart had fallen from the rafters, that the incident was "not a part of the entertainment" and that it was "a real situation".[27] EMTs came down to the ring and gave Hart CPR, but he showed no response to the treatment. Bringing Hart out on a gurney, the EMTs boarded the heavily injured wrestler into an ambulance and took him to a nearby hospital in Kansas City.[27]

>Jayne Mansfield was in Biloxi, Mississippi, for an engagement at the Gus Stevens Supper Club. After two appearances the evening of June 28, 1967, Mansfield, her lover Sam Brody, their driver Ronnie Harrison (age 20), and three of Mansfield's children – Miklós, Zoltán and Mariska – departed Biloxi after midnight in Stevens' 1966 Buick Electra 225. Their destination was New Orleans, where Mansfield was scheduled to appear on WDSU's "Midday Show" at noon the next day. At approximately 2:29 a.m., on U.S. Highway 90 east of the Rigolets Bridge (at approximately 30°05′26″N 89°46′54″W) the Buick crashed at high speed into the rear of a tractor-trailer that had slowed behind a truck spraying mosquito fogger and which was shrouded in the insecticide fog. The three adults in the front seat were killed instantly. The children, who were asleep in the rear seat, survived with minor injuries.

>12:55AM on Feb. 3, the plane carrying Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper Killed in plane crash in a snowstorm with strong winds. But the plane traveled only a few miles before crashing, killing all four men instantly. The federal investigation ruled that even though the weather played a large role in the accident, the 21-year-old Peterson was too inexperienced to have been flying in such conditions. In addition, he had most likely misread the altitude indicator, which was different than the one on which he had trained, and inadvertently brought the plane down instead of up.

It's one thing for one celebrity to die. But 3 in one accident is an unusual faith.

High rate of injury in ring, headshots that fuck with your brain, theatrics, pyro, shitloads of drugs. Or fucked up families (ie the Von Erichs, there's only one brother left)

Shit look at Chris Candido...
>At Lockdown on April 24, 2005, Candido fractured both his tibia and fibula and dislocated his ankle during a steel cage match with Lance Hoyt against Apolo and Sonny Siaki.[16] He underwent surgery the next day to have titanium plates and screws inserted into his leg. He was at the following Impact! tapings managing The Naturals to defeat America's Most Wanted to win the NWA World Tag Team Championship.[16]
On April 28, 2005, Candido felt ill and his condition worsened during the day. He collapsed in the evening and was rushed to the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey.[2][16] He was diagnosed with pneumonia. Doctors drained his lungs, but Candido died soon afterwards. He was 33 years old. His brother Johnny, reported that Candido died due to a blood clot, a complication from surgery.[16] In a 2016 interview Johnny Candido would reveal that Chris did not die from a blood clot, but rather acute pneumonia.[21]

All three bodies were burned beyond recognition, and Rhoads was identified by dental records and personal jewelry.

On December 8, 2004, Abbott was assassinated onstage while performing with Damageplan at the Alrosa Villa in Columbus, Ohio. Moments into the band's set, 25-year-old former Marine Nathan Gale, using a 9 mm Beretta 92FS pistol, shot Abbott three times in the head, killing him instantly. Some in attendance initially believed the shooting was part of the act, but as Gale continued shooting, the audience quickly came to the realization that the event was not staged. Having fired a total of 15 shots, Gale killed a total of four people while wounding seven others.
Jeff "Mayhem" Thompson, the band's head of security, was killed tackling Gale, as was Alrosa Villa employee Erin Halk. Audience member Nathan Bray was killed while trying to perform CPR on Abbott and Thompson. It was rumored that one crowd member leapt in front of the gunman, saving the lives of several band members.[19] Damageplan's drum technician, John "Kat" Brooks, was shot three times as he attempted to get the gun away from Gale, but was overpowered and taken hostage in a headlock position. Tour manager Chris Paluska was also injured.

They were fooling around and wanted to buzz the tour bus. It's strange because I always remembered the story as Rhoads was flying the plane and he was buzzing Osborne's home. I think I heard he had an affair with Sharon Osborne.

>At 7:30 am on the morning of 2 February 1922,[16] Taylor's body was found inside his bungalow at the Alvarado Court Apartments,[16] 404-B South Alvarado Street,[17] in Westlake, Los Angeles, a trendy and affluent neighbourhood. A crowd gathered inside, and someone identifying himself as a doctor stepped forward, made a cursory examination of the body, and declared Taylor had died of a stomach haemorrhage. The doctor was never seen again, perhaps owing to his own embarrassment, because when doubts later arose, the body was rolled over by forensic investigators revealing the 49-year-old film director had been shot at least once in the back with what appeared to have been a small-caliber pistol, which was not found at the scene...............................More than a dozen individuals were eventually named as suspects by both the press and the police.

It's an intriguing case and one that I wish could be made into a movie. A real Hollywood muder whodunit.

>The circumstances of Rappe's death in 1921 became a Hollywood scandal and were covered widely (and sensationalized) by the media of the time. During a party held on Labor Day, September 5, 1921, in Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle's suite, number 1219, at the St. Francis Hotel in San Francisco, Rappe allegedly suffered a trauma. She died on September 9, 1921, from a ruptured bladder and secondary peritonitis. She is buried at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.

>The exact events of that party are still unclear, with witnesses relating numerous versions of what happened. It was alleged that she died as a result of a violent sexual assault by Arbuckle. Arbuckle's accuser, Maude Delmont, had accompanied Rappe to the party; she had first met Rappe only a few days earlier. Delmont was apparently not present at any of the events she described and was not called to testify at any of Arbuckle's three trials because of her own extensive criminal background that included extortion.
>Subsequent witnesses testified that Rappe had for some time suffered from cystitis, and that consuming alcohol could aggravate that condition.[6] Witnesses also testified that she had previously suffered from venereal disease, so there were allegations that her death was brought on by her health rather than by an assault.
>After three manslaughter trials, Arbuckle was formally acquitted; his acquittal in the third trial was accompanied by an unprecedented statement of apology from the jury stating, in part, that "Acquittal is not enough for Roscoe Arbuckle. We feel that a great injustice has been done him… there was not the slightest proof adduced to connect him in any way with the commission of a crime." Arbuckle's case has been examined by scholars and historians over the years and is still speculated about today, and a number of detailed books about the case have analyzed the incident and subsequent trials.

Let's dispel once and for all with this fiction that Barack Obama doesn't know what he's doing. He knows EXACTLY what he's doing. Barack Obama is undertaking a systematic effort to change this country, to make America more like the rest of the world.
That's why he passed Obamacare and the stimulus and Dodd-Frank and the deal with Iran. It is a systematic effort to change America. When I'm president of the United States, we are going to re-embrace all the things that made America the greatest nation in the world and we are going to leave our children with what they deserve: the single greatest nation in the history of the world.

>On August 8, 1969, Tate was two weeks from giving birth. She entertained two friends, actresses Joanna Pettet and Barbara Lewis, for lunch at her home, confiding in them her disappointment at Polanski's delay in returning from London. That afternoon, Polanski telephoned her as did her younger sister, Debra, who called to ask if she and their sister, Patti, could spend the night with her. Tate declined, offering to have them over another time. Later that evening, Tate dined at her favorite restaurant, El Coyote, with Jay Sebring, Voytek Frykowski and Abigail Folger, returning at about 10:30 p.m.

>Shortly after midnight, they were murdered by members of Charles Manson's "family" and their bodies were discovered the following morning by Tate's housekeeper, Winifred Chapman. Police arrived at the scene to find the body of a young man, later identified as Steven Parent, shot dead in his car, which was in the driveway. Inside the house, the bodies of Tate and Sebring were found in the living room; a long rope tied around each of their necks connected them. On the front lawn lay the bodies of Frykowski and Folger. All of the victims, except Parent, had been stabbed numerous times. The coroner's report for Tate noted that she had been stabbed sixteen times, and that "five of the wounds were in and of themselves fatal

>At approximately 5:45pm, a black-and-white 1950 Ford Tudor coupe driven at high speed was headed east on Route 466 just west of the junction near Shandon. Its driver, 23-year-old Cal Poly student Donald Turnupseed, made a left turn onto Route 41 headed north, toward Fresno. As Turnupseed's Ford crossed over the center line, Dean, who was driving at a reported speed of 85 mph (137 km/h) , apparently tried to steer the Spyder in a "side stepping" racing maneuver, but with insufficient time and space, the two cars crashed almost head-on............. a witness, John Robert White, saw the Spyder smash into the ground two or three times in cartwheels, and landing in a gully beside the shoulder of the road, northwest of the junction. The sheer velocity of the impact sent the much-heavier Ford broad-sliding 39 feet (12 m) down Route 466 in the westbound lane. The accident was witnessed by a number of passersby who stopped to help.

The only ride is your last one.

to be fair, racial homogeneity has a number of significant effects on the health and efficiency of bureaucracy and society in general. Doesn't really matter which race it is, but when everyone in a country has a very similar cultural (and racial) heritage, there's greater public trust.

Had a history teacher in high school who got carbon monoxide poisoning. After a hurricane came through someone in his apartment building was running a generator (possibly indoors?).

I believe other people in his building died but he was okay after a while in the hospital. He came back to work in school but he had changed a lot, he had some kind of non-trivial brain damage from the incident.

Don't fuck around with CO.

Also, Steve and Sharon had had a love affair. If you call it that. She was into tree-way sex with Steve and another dude.

>Nozomi's career was still on the rise when her life came to a sudden end while visiting Nagano Prefecture. On October 12, 2002, she was found dead by the Narai River, which runs through Shiojiri. A nearby burned-out car contained the remains of her male companion. Nozomi had been stabbed at least six times, covered with gasoline and set on fire about 10 meters from the car. It was reported that Nozomi's companion was a company employee in Nagano Prefecture, and that in what the police called a possible murder-suicide pact, the man had burned himself to death inside the car. The remains were so badly charred that it took hours of testing before investigators could even determine that the remains belonged to a male. According to the Mainichi Shimbun, "Nozomi seemed to have something Japan's myriad other porno starlets lacked and, at just 24, she was on her way up in the world before her tragic end."

>Although there were many guests in the residence, Snider's bedroom door was closed and they assumed Snider's privacy was essential. Cushner broke into Snider's room and discovered the nude bodies of Snider and Stratten, both having been shot with a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun. Police believed that Snider murdered Stratten, who was 20, then abused and raped her corpse, before turning the shotgun on himself.
