A fox falls in love with a bunny.
Unable to confess, he is gifted with by a deus ex machina with the bunny's phone number. Never minding the strange area code, he immediately calls her, and is overjoyed to find out that she has a crush on him as well.
But, the next day, when he recounts the previous day's confessions to the girl, she only looks at him with a perplexed expression. After some investigation, he finds out that the bunny he called is not the same bunny he fell in love with. In fact, she doesn't exist in this universe at all. She is the bunny's alternate universe counterpart, who has fallen in love with the MC's own AU self, who too is blissfully unaware of her crush.
Hijinks ensue as the two strike up a deal to give each other their darkest, most private secrets in order to equip the other with the weapons they need to conquer the heart of their other selves. While the two chase their respective loved ones, DRAMA ensues as they begin to fall in love with each other instead and question the NATURE of YIFF.

Modern animated movies are cheap, slickly produced entertainment they're funny, inoffensive, and relatively safe, but they have near zero actual substance.
There's a reason why people watch Snow White or pinocchio 70 years after they came out.
It's hard to say if Zootopia will be watched in 70 years, but i would put my money on that it and a vast majority of modern animated movies won't. There's a timeless quality to traditionally animated movies, something that translates over the generations. Modern CG looks look for the time they're produced in but ages poorly, Toy Story just strait up looks worse than the movies that came after it. Not to say Toy Story is bad, all the non-animation parts of it still hold up well, but the actual technical aspect of the presentation looks dated.
It's hard to people to come to terms with this, they're strait up deny it. Toy Story is pretty incredible looking considering the year it was made in, and to be fair it DOES look pretty good, even by today's standards. But films produced today will always have an edge when it comes to presentation by their sheer virtue of being produced later.

I feel like this movie was specifically designed to cause a furry resurgence. Like, all the anthropomorphic cartoons in the 90's creating furries was an accident, but when furry culture started to wane, for some reason Disney very intentionally recreated the process to create the next generation.
