They created an entire world. Thats fucking amazing. Its easy to render some monkeys in the forset in California, but creating a world is the next level.
Why was there no significant cultural impact of avatar? It didn't really spawn any memes of pop culture references. If you asked me to recite lines of dialogue from the film I'd only be able to come up with "you're not in Kansas anymore" and "I didn't sign up for this!"

Jurassic World's CGI was disappointing imo. Yeah, it was better than the CGI that was rarely used in the original trilogy, but there have been quite a few better looking movies.
Also the whole point of the new dinosaur was to be scary, but I didn't think it was even as scary as the one from the third movie, so they kind of wasted their special effects with that one. Still a very good film, though. Saw it twice in the theater.

Cameron himself has said he's weak on dialogue. That exposition dump when Sully first gets into the Avatar rotisserie was fucking terrible.
But Avatar wasn't about the dialogue and complaining about it is to miss the point of the movie. You could watch that movie with just the foley and music tracks and it would still be glorious.
