the thing about snl is its very niche, and thats why i keep saying improv instead of comedy. There is a huge different between being able to make a funny video, being able to tell a funny joke, and being able to be funny on a live stage in fornt of a studio audience as well as millions of viewers at home. some people think they can handle it, others dont. producers also think that people will be better than they sometimes are, a la brooks wheelan. rudnitsky and zamata are in the same boat. funny people. great on stage. unfortunately it just doesnt always translate so well
