I think this is the worst episode I've ever seen from this show, worse than anything from S5.
So, now that the dust has settled on the abortion of the Braavos arc, what is this bitch going to do back in Westeros? Who could she kill that would have any effect on the plot? Cersei will obviously be killed by Jaimie after burning King's Landing, and everyone else on her list is dead except Walder Frey who's an irrelevant old man.

Serious question. Why write about this point in the story's history? When are writing a fantasy epic, you want to write about one o the most important periods in history. Some event that changes the world forever. It gives your story purpose. In Lord of the Rings, the story takes place in one of the most pivotal times in history. The Big Evil is finally destroyed, the age of men starts, and the elves fuck off. The stakes are high as fuck as if the heroes fail, evil becomes almost unstoppable once again. If the story took place 10 years earlier, nothing of note would happen. The author chooses the most important point of history, the point where everything changes.
But what about A Song of Ice and Fire? The back story clearly has several points in history where there could have been important events that shaped the world forever. What makes the current time so important? Why write about these events in such detail? What is the end game for GRRM?

Show Jaime is so fucking frustrating. He's one of the best written characters in the books, and every time it looks like they might be taking him down a similar path as the books, they butcher him a little bit more instead.
Doubly frustrating because Coster-Waldau is really knocks it out of the park when they give him something substantive to work with. The scene in the baths where Jaime is explaining why he killed Aerys to Brienne is one of the best in the series, hands down.
