I could see why it was considered a great classic film back in the day, but overall it's just a good movie with flaws. There are better films out there.
I'm really happy to see this thread.
I watched Citizen Kane for the first time yesterday, and I was underwhelmed.
It's on everybody's "best movies ever" list, and I just didn't enjoy it that much. The cinematography was beautiful, but it was marred by sub par pacing and just outright bad acting.
Is this movie over hyped?
