I mean, if you watch S1 again and compare, you can see the difference very clearly, a difference in complexity, detail and polish. Everything is done quicker now, everything is simpler.
Just take that House Glover scene as an example. If it happened in S1, they would have spent the night there, there would have been a scene in some dining hall, something would have happened at night, maybe two characters discussing something by moonlight. It would have spanned beyond one episode, perhaps.
