how long until an overzealous janitor removes this from the op image alone
It's a fucking Musical, not a historical drama. Who gives a fuck?
Same "outrage" over the black Hermione in the Harry Potter sequel play. Who gives a flying fuck, it's fucking theater.
>the only character played by a white actor(s) is King George. The villain

Tonys this Sunday. Last year I started a thread and it was super popular. Expecting the same from you folks this weekend.
What's the point of this thread? He wrote the damn thing himself, he can cast whoever he wants
>>70693119
im very excited this year!
its a shame that we can only have theater threads when theyre on tv at that very moment.
janitors deleted by grease thread a couple months ago

Alexander Hamilton and Jonas Jefferson weren't niggers
>>70693200
Neither was Thomas Jefferson
>>70693164
let those fuckers know we won't be silenced.
and I hope everyone is watching Aaron Burr, Sir:

>tfw no behind the scenes shots of Philippa Soo ;___;
>>70693200
well pointed out friend, i also go to theater and point out the historical inaccuracies
>>70693200
It's a fucking play, man. Dancers in costumes aren't lions, and people still see The Lion King every year
>>70693027
There are multiple white ensemble members and several understudies for main characters are white.
;)
>>70693119
>Tonys
you mean the Hamilton Bloodbath?
>>70693429
The main cast listed on Wikipedia are all white historical figures played by minorities except king George.
>>70693315
Right. So why do the same liberal cuckolds who praise Hamilton complain that The Egyptian God of buttfucking was played by a whitey
>American theater
What a fucking disgrace to the performing arts. If it isn't Spider-Man musicals it's hip hop historical revisionism. Everything Broadway makes is directly aimed at the lowest common denominator
>>70693456
I bet the other nominees are feeling Helpless.
>>70693200
>Alexander Hamilton and Jonas Jefferson weren't niggers
Lin-Manuel Miranda isn't a nigger, either. Most people would be able to figure that out somewhere around "Manuel" or "Miranda", but not the /pol/ braintrust.
>>70693200
than maybe you should had written a dank play and only casted whites in their roles
>>70693027
>it's a /pol/ gets triggered episode

that left me Satisfied

And? It's theater. Color blind casting is the norm. Don't like it? Don't watch.
>>70693456
What if it's an upset? I'm still not over Kinky Boots winning Best Musical over Matilda.
>>70693513
>Right. So why do the same liberal cuckolds who praise Hamilton complain that The Egyptian God of buttfucking was played by a whitey
>I'm gonna act like a total faggot, that'll sure teach those other faggots a lesson
>>70693943
lol if Waitress or School of fucking Rock wins over a Pulizter Prize winning musical there'd be tween riots on Tumblr for years.
Are there any decent cams of this show?
>>70693027
>King George
>The Villain
If anyone is the villain it's Burr, who is portrayed by a black man.
King George is actually an audience favourite because he has the catchiest songs
>>70694269
There's an 8gb one on Kat that's decent enough
>>70694340
People love the joker too
>>70694340
I'd say the story is more-or-less told from the point of view of Aaron Burr. In the Room Where it Happens Ten Duel Commandments reprise. It's all Burr.
>>70694532
Hamilton is still the protag and Burr is the one who kills him because he got buttblasted, some of the songs may be from his perspective, but almost all of the characters get a song of their own, by that logic you could say that the story is also told from the point of view of Angelica or Eliza
>>70694773
The overture is told from the point of view of Aaron Burr however [arguably, but that's how I took it.]
I feel that Hamilton isn't so much the protagonist but more it's a story about him from the people in his life, as the overture would suggest.
