Sweet Dreams (Are Made Of This) - X-Men: Apocalypse | Quicksilver Theme Song

I can't actually be mad at this.

I mean... it's a fucking based song.

I like manson too...

Like how many kids are going to grow up enjoying this song because of this movie... and suckerpunch.
>>
>>70682014
>quicksilver theme song
what, he had a scene with it at one point in the movie and never before or after.

I don't really care about this thread though desu
>>
>>70682014
>I like Manson too...
Fucking millenial shitstains. What does he have to do with ANYTHING?
>>
>>70682087
grew up with manson, called gen x nigga. Millennial is the 25 year olds.

you wouldn't know about the mid 90's Alt rock scene, it's cool.
>>
>>70682087
Manson made a famous cover of Sweet Dreams. Have you really never heard it ?
>>
>>70682087
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QUvVdTlA23w

Guess you're the millennial if you didn't know about this.
>>
>>70682193
Millenials are 18 - 35, are you below or above this?
>>
>>70682087
>you're the millennial shitstain
>thinks it's talking about other kids his age
>>
>>70682227
But what does it have to do with anything? He didn't write the song. His version isn't used in the movie, nor is it the more popular rendition.
>>
>>70682300
mil·len·nial
miˈlenēəl/
noun
plural noun: millennials; plural noun: Millennials
a person reaching young adulthood around the year 2000; a Generation Yer.
"the industry brims with theories on what makes millennials tick"
>>
>>70682300
I am 31. I don't relate myself the same as teh 25 year olds on here, it's really a different generation, but yeah, you post-baby boomers hate everyone else because we made the world bad. You Gen X 1960's to 1980's never did nothing wrong.

BUT WHAT DOES THAT FUCKING HAVE TO DO WITH ANYTHING OLD MAN?
>>
>>70682329
Are you retarded or you like to pretend you are?

90's kids grew up with the Manson rendition so it's normal that some of them will bring up their love for it

To me the Manson version is the superior one.
>>
>>70682450
It's an amazing guitar song. Lyrically it's an amazing song too. It's dark and the synths are spot on and both version of the song rock.

If not for this movie, most kids would know this from the shitty Suckerpunch version, which took ALL of the piss out of the song.

As well as Manson launched his career from Sweet Dreams which, again is a FUCKING SWEET ROCK SONG based off a FUCKING SWEET TECHNO SONG.

It was like depeche mode met Ace of Base
>>
>>70682450
I mean I grew up in the 90's. Manson's version always seemed like a lame cover. Nobody remembers it over the original, except Manson fanboys, a comparatively small audience.

And again, it has zilch to do with the movie. I could understand if Manson wrote the song, but he didn't.
>>
>>70682442
We're both millenials, and you need a nap or something.
>>
Finally, kids are learning about music that plays every day on the radio!
>>
>>70682382
Is that just to confirm what I'm saying...?

huh?

>And again, it has zilch to do with the movie.

Sweet Dreams is played in the movie.

Most people who even remember Manson probably know him because of this song.

Just shut the fuck up.
>>
>>70682750
>Most people who even remember Manson probably know him because of this song.
This logic would make sense if someone brought up Marilyn Manson.
>>
>>70682905
See the OP...?
>>

Is he gonna snap his neck?
>>
>>70682905
The OP literally bring up Manson. What the fuck is wrong with you??

IDUNNOBRO
>>
>>70682955
You're not following. Manson is not alluded to in this film. His version of the song Sweet Dreams, which is not the version most people know, is not used in the film. Bringing him up seems completely random, because no reference to him is made in the film. So saying:
>Most people who even remember Manson probably know him because of this song.
only makes sense if the film brought up Manson in some way. It didn't.
>>
>>70683045
I wasn't talking about the OP. I'm talking about the movie.
>>
>>70682750
>Most people who even remember Manson probably know him because of this song.

most people remember manson for these two songs
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ypkv0HeUvTc

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A4_YgnhTMEg

and possibly this one

>>
>>70682014
When I hear George Clintons' Not Just Knee Deep I always think of when I first heard it in Good Burger.
>>
>>70683110
>But no one brought him up.
Yeah they did, in the OP
>OK, well, it's not Manson's cover, so Manson's not related.
Except by his cover.
Mentioned in the OP.
You dumb cunt.
>>
I think more people remember Manson for looking like a goofy fag and for his interview in Bowling for Columbine, than for any of his music.
>>
>>70683178
The Nobodies?
>>
>>70683218
Already responded to this. This is a film board, btw.
>>
>>70683247
Yup, and this is a tangent.

>>70683242
Wasn't that video filmed outside the Command Centre from MMPR?
>>
>>70683178
Naw everyone knows the Beautiful People. That was the biggest song after Sweet Dreams. Dope Show because he played it at the grammys.
>>
>>70682905
OP here, I mentioned it. Also you didn't grow up with the Alt rock scene of the 90's so you wouldn't understand.

That's kinda the point at hand here.
>>
>>70683278
>Yup, and this is a tangent.
It was in the OP. It's not a tangent, just a random comment that had nothing to do with the movie.

Mansonfags are deluded.
>>
>>70683278
That was The Dope Show, and yes, The House of The Book had a lot filmed there. See wikipedia.
>>
>>70683317
>OP here, I mentioned it.
I wasn't saying nobody brought him up in the thread. I meant that the films don't bring him up or allude to his existence.
>Also you didn't grow up with the Alt rock scene of the 90's so you wouldn't understand.
Born in 83. Marilyn Manson was seen as really gay and his music was shit. His cover of Sweet Dreams only appealed to those who weren't aware of the original.
>That's kinda the point at hand here.
Yeah...
>>
>>70682014
it's not even Eurythmics best song
>>
>>70683356
>>70683459
Why are you so triggered by Manson you faggot millenial?
>>
>>70683206
>Not Just Knee Deep
I always think of the De La Soul sample
>>
>>70683495
He sucks and has nothing to do with X-Men Apocalypse.

If you want to discuss Manson, go to /mu/.

I too preferred The Thing when it was black and white and it's antagonist was a carrot man.
>>
>>70683587
God damn, your tears are like ambrosia.
>>
>>70683632
I don't mind a good cover. Manson just sucks, and nothing about his version is memorable to anyone outside of his fans.
>>
>>70683711
I'm not a fan, but his cover is so distinctive that it's practically a new song. Like The Thing and The Thing.
For a 33 year old you sure act like a bratty kid.
>>
>>70683490
that prize goes to Sex Crime

>Like The Thing and The Thing.
More like the 2011 version and Carpenter's.
>For a 33 year old you sure act like a bratty kid.
I'm young at heart and enjoy pissing on Manson fags. It's a dying tradition.
>>
>>70683711
I'm not a Manson fan but I like his version better because it adds a disturbing layer to it. The original is a vanilla 80's pop song. Nothing wrong with it, just nothing special about it either.
>>
>>70683979
Don't ever trash on the taste of "kids these days" because your own taste is awful. Manson's version is as disturbing as a Halloween haunted house.
>>
>>70683932
As I pointed out, I'm not a fan.

That said, I'd say a change of genre, tempo and vocalist is far closer to the tonal shift between B Movie to Horror. As opposed to Horror to Horror Prequel.

But if you want to keep acting like an absurd "my music's best coz I said so" teenager, carry on.
On an unrelated note, maybe you'd enjoy The World's End, I think a protagonist would really resonate for you.
>>
>>70684071
>Never trash on the tastes of "kids these days"
Shall we leave that to you?
>>
GODDAMN you people are autistic.
>>
>>70684155
Sorry I don't watch shitty movies with Simon Pegg. You should watch Stranger by the Lake. Every character in it is just like you.
>>70684190
I'm just going after people that like Marilyn Manson and who bring him up without any good reason. The kids are alright.
>>
>>70684333
>33 Year old
>Kids are alright
Wow, I just thought you were a faggot.
>>
>>70684471
I suppose Marilyn Manson has to do another shitty cover before you get the reference.
>>
>>70684333
Interesting that I should reach for a comedy compared to what first comes to your mind.
>>
>>70682450
>To me the Manson version is the superior one.

That's only because you're a faggot.
>>
>>70684559
That you want to bundle kids into your van? No, I got it. You're sick pal.
>>
>>70684579
My posts remind you of comedy, yours remind me of guys splooging each other. Comedies aren't the only thing you're reaching for.

>Kids Are Alright
>Reference
You're calling Manson gay when you're referencing Robbie Williams?
Fag.
>>
>>70684661
You are a joke, it's true.
>>
>>70684693
It was a reference to the Who.
>>70684726
That's why I listen to Marilyn Manson. That's why I wear the bloody diaper.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Millennials

>Millennials (also known as the Millennial Generation[1] or Generation Y, abbreviated to Gen Y) are the demographic cohort following Generation X. There are no precise dates for when the generation starts and ends; most researchers and commentators use birth years ranging from the early 1980s to around 2000.

Millenials just don't get Marilyn Manson.
