why are they called minutemen???
Director's Cut was better then the original. All of Snyder's films suffer from the same issue. He wants a longer more detailed story then the medium allows. So we see a knotted 5 legged Squid. Not to say the finish product was going to be Kino.
pure capekino

Pacing is odd, but I really enjoyed it overall.
Snyder is pretty hit and miss
A few too many choices made to make it seem 'cool'.
More of a focus on it being a thriller/mystery than a character study. Missed the point a lot of the time in weird little ways
A fairly good adaption, but it feels like a neutered version of the story

Who watched watchmen?
It's shit since they turn an amazingly nuanced story into DUDE WHAT IF SUPERHEROES WERE REAL LMAO DUDE SOVIET UNION LMAO
Only retards like it, but they will never know what a great story it was what they missed.

Comic = treatise on the inanity, futility, and ludicrousness of earnest, commercialized superhero propaganda
Movie = earnest, commercialized superhero propaganda
Never has an adaptation so missed the mark of its source material. But hey, it has edgy violence and video-game-cutscene sensibilities, so it's amazing, right?

Not really. Alan Moore's stories are fairly to-the-point, generally. The social commentary is also fairly on the nose. People just adapt it badly every time for whatever reason.
Like Watchmen had full pages outright saying that Dr Manhattan is seen as a living representation of nuclear war, and then a little in-universe book section about how he's changed how war happens. It's not hard to get
