I usually watch Lindy Beige stuff to chill out, he's good and making pretty chill and moderately interesting videos most of the time. And he's reasonably funny.
Yeah I like him, apparently that Schola guy is mroe historically correct, but he's just so fucking boring to listen to I can't make it through more than five minutes, Lindy really is weirdly charismatic, can't put my finger on why he's so nice to listen to.

The comfiest channel of all time is Aquachigger.
He's a metal detecting and treasure-hunting buff who mostly does American rivers for US Civil War relics. He finds TONS of shit (I think he's actually one of the biggest guys in the world within the hobby), but the real fun of the videos is just going on a 20~ minute adventure with this funny, laidback dude down some scummy river, while he explains all this interesting nature shit to you. He knows fucking EVERYTHING.

One of the comfiest youtube channel for me recently has been forgotten weapons. I recommend it to people who aren't even remotely /k/. Ian explains the history and mechanisms of weird old guns in a calm, accessible and matter of fact way.

Really depends on what your definition of comfy is. I'd generally consider it stuff that you can either binge watch with ease, or just chill out and listen to (almost like a podcast)

Ultimate in comfy core and underrated as fuck. Does surprisingly well produced cooking videos on 18th Century food, using ingredients / methods from the time. Not even remotely into the period but I love this shit regardless (reminds me a bit of Bob Ross). Basically my number one pick for comfiness.
Other channels like RedLetterMedia, NeedleDrop and StrifeCro (Hearthstone streamer) are just nice to chill out and listen to / watch while doing other stuff.
Quite a few film / tv related channels are pretty good for this too, especially considering how many of them there are on youtube. Some good underrated stuff I like would include:
"E;R" (did a pretty solid /pol/ influenced video on degeneracy in Steven's Universe)
"Magnus Prophecy" (does pretty in-depth and smoothly edited videos on Criterion releases)
"AlphaAlpacaPack" (does piece to camera reviews of older art films)
+ Some of the other famous video essay channels are worth watching (Every Frame a Painting and his clones).

In regards to OP, Forgotten Weapons is probably has the coolest shit on youtube. He recently did two videos on Japanese and American flamethrowers, going in depth about how they were used, how they work, etc. using period pieces. He's done similar videos on absurdly rare stuff like the Pancor Jackhammer and Mars Pistols. You literally cannot find anything like what he's making anywhere else.
