Highlander is good but holy shit I needed a lot less of that love interest and the New York crime drama crap. All we see of Connor's adventures through history is his life in Scotland and two short deleted scenes about World War II and an 18th-century duel.

At least the future setting requires them to create a unique world. Highlander 1 just took New York city as it is now and made it 75% of the movie. They nearly missed the whole point of writing a story about an immortal guy who fights other immortals throughout world history. Thankfully the film is saved by eccentric editing, Queen, Clancy Brown, and the Scotland scenes.
