I think one of the most interesting cultural phenomenoms of the 21st century has been the intellectual decline of American Jews. These people used to be really smart, if you look at the mid-20th century, you had people like John von Neumann in science, Norman Mailer in literature, Stephen Kubrick in cinema. Now all Jews have in cultural power is based on ethnic nepotism. What does this have to do with Game of Thrones? Well, if D&D actually knew their history, they would understand that Stannis Baratheon was created by GRRM to represent the kind of "New Monarch" who in the 15th and 16th centuries centralized the monarchies in Europe, diminished the power of the aristocracy and the Church and by empowering common people as a wedge against the nobility created much of the opportunities for the commercial revolution. Stannis, with his hatred of the great lords, his connections with merchants and trade through his tenure as Master of Ships, his granting of opportunities to lowborn such as Davos Seaworth etc represents that spirit in Westeros.
D&D, being left-wing Jews, should admire him for it. But they are dumb, they looked at Stannis and saw just a "religious patriarch" so they treated him with contempt. Even now, 7 episodes after his death they still joke at him and humiliate him. They really think they are helping dismantle organized religion and cisheteropatriarchy by doing so. Fucking historical illiteracy, old Jews wouldn't fall for it. Maurice Druon, the Jew who wrote "Les Rois maudits", the historical fiction series about the House of Capet and who inspired GRRM, openly admired the centralizing work of kings like Philip IV of France, he would understand what Stannis was.

I imagine the knight's best weapon would depend on the period. If it's late medieval (i.e. plate armour era) they hammers would be best since you might be going up against heavily armoured knights and men-at-arms in the vanguard. If it's early to high medieval (i.e. the best we can expect is hauberks or general mail) then I imagine a sword or a lance will pierce knights quite nicely.

This needs to stop.
I've gotten used to 4chan. I even find some of the lingo funny now. I lurk in a ton of threads and actually enjoy them. But this term is bothering me to the point I'm willing to be flamed to say something about it.
"Janny" is a slur. Period. In my view it is every bit as bad as the N-word. And yet I see it used all the time in /d2g/ and other boards including by some posters I otherwise respect and enjoy interacting with.
I know what the response to this will be. "It's 4chan, what do you expect", for one. I don't accept this. Inane is fine. Hateful is not. I've got no problem with taking shit and even a little bit of banter from time to time - basically, stuff happens. I just think that we can do this without crossing the line to hate speech. I was actually very proud of our community that "weeb" has largely replaced "animefaggot", even more so because people have turned it into something funny. I hope we can do something similar here.
Slurs based on race, gender, nationality, or salary have no place anywhere, including in our community. I hope that our moderators and janitors will join me in deleting and banning for use of this and similar terms. Thanks for reading.

I'm no a soldier (I dunno if you two guys are) but the humvee is listed as a "Light Armored Car" on every site I could find that looked legit. I'm not familiar with how NATO grades armoured vehicles.
Either way, I don't think it's such a great comparison to knights or men-at-arms in the late medieval period (maybe a siege tower would be a better comparison).
You'd be running into plate-armoured foes a lot more frequently in that period. Most soldiers saw fit to prefer hammers over swords so I assume they found it easier to take down one easier with blades.
