Truth is you have to find what works best for you individually. If I don't exercise but watch what I eat, I'll still get up to 230 in a couple years. As of March, I weighed 240 lbs and I decided after a lot of personal drama I was tired of being fat. I changed my diet, exercised (just at home), and I weigh 195 lbs now. You can do it too, biggest obstacle for me was the discipline and willpower to commit and now maintain.
