Why doesn't Recess get the credit it deserves? Was it just not as popular as the other shows who get the nostalgia treatment?
It had a great cast of characters and was well ahead of it's time.
I was one of the kids without cable, lived in a rural area, and struggled to get ABC which was channel 2 in my area.
I would try to tune into this shit every saturday morning, and some days I'd get lucky.
It always felt like a treat, I loved it back then, but I've not returned and honestly watched it like a few other shows from my childhood.
Maybe I should, just for the hell of it.

it's one of those rare shows that you watch and appreciate even more when you get older.
Good humour, good messages,diverse cast, and plenty of WWII references that made me chuckle.

This is my nomination. I recently started watching it again and it is honestly amazing. It kind of passed me by as kid, but of the episodes i did see, i loved it. The animation, humour, character design/development, stories, music, voice acting (Tim Curry, Lacey Chapbert, Danielle Harris, i mean come on!), everything is crafted with love and care. It's just an endless pan global safari of fun. Definitely Klasky and Csupos best work i reckon.
