What would you do? Try to get her arrested or ride it out?
>>

I'd fuck her.

His only real option would have been killing her. He is still free to cheat on her. And fuck her. It's not all bad.

There's no way she would get away with it.

The police chief was already onto her, the death of the other guy would raise all sorts of flags when it was investigated.

The idea that her being a media darling would let her get away with things doesn't mirror similar cases in reality.

The world is nicer to pretty and you have your real world example.

"don't cheat on your wife or she'll murder people and blame you for it"

it's in women's nature to be deceptive and try to rise above the authority of her husband, fuck em
>>
>>70575467

I don't think she was insane at all, and learning definition of words is helpful in discussion. She was a sociopath and not all sociopath's are violent. So I would disagree, insanity implies a lack of control which is the antithesis of her character. She is all about control. She ignores moraes of society because they were constraining her choices but for some thirty years she played along with them as far as we know. She did all the normal things expected of her.

I also think we apply words when other words fit better or at very least might not exist at all but her lack of emotional response is genetic but I would say it is very different from insanity.

Sociopath's tend to lack that inner voice that creates skepticism which is why their actions come off so alien and give more normal humans the heebiejeebies.

But he was married and dating her a while and he clearly liked everything about her even the bad parts, he only started to stray because she stopped giving him what he wanted. Then she did and he decided to stay in it and fight it out rather than do something, which is why his sister's reaction in the kitchen was so great.
>>
>>70575836

What?

The movie could have been written by a /r9k/ faggot. Seriously. It was "don't just listen and believe," shortly before that became a discussion.

People thinking this movie was feminist confuses me. Although I've seen feminists claim the same thing. Why on earth would they take credit for an insane murderer who snapped because she got tired of waxing her snatch?

Everyone believes a pretty face, it's easy to turn the world against a man accused of abuse, the media is willing to burn men for ratings, abusive and unhinged women are every bit as dangerous as abusive and unhinged men, etc.

DON't BRING HER INTO THIS THREAD; ROSAMUND PIKE IS ENOUGH!!!!
>>
>>70580924
The point of the film is that Ben affleck is a liar. A cheater. An apathetic piece of shit. Emotionally abusive. But he's no murderer. The opposite of Rosamund.

The audience sees Affleck and Rosamund Pike at their worst. And it's an emotional tug-of-war to see who really deserves each other more.
It's a comparison between two types of characters and how the facades and pleasantries that go into the initial attraction between two people and in public showings are just cover-ups for how much we harbor invasive and harmful thoughts towards the people we are supposed to love.

But she is the perfect wife as is, anon. He got lazy and complacent in their marriage by refusing to continue the image game, he thought he could just let himself go and let the marriage stagnate. >>
>>70584454

if she was truly that dangerous he would have been more worried before hand so it leads me to believe she has done weird shit before and he let it go we just never saw it. Six years into marriage women don't become weird, they're usually weird to begin with and we overlook it. Also there is very little reason to think she would even try to kill him considering she had more room and opportunity before hand to do something like that and even lawyer was impressed with how she covered her bases. I mean I guess she could poison him but still its not that easy so. She only killed NPH because he could contradict her story and he didn't seem intent on giving her any room. Affleck played ball until he saw an opportunity to move against her and then she realized she would have to give him what he wanted so she could keep what she wanted which was kids. She is calculating, I wouldn't say mental.

>>
>>70584896

>>
>>70584928
I think the movie is a bit boring on rewatch unlike other of Fincher's films, but it was a great first watch.
>>
>>70584832

That is where the tug and pull is going to come and why it looks so ugly when he shoves her into the wall and she doesn't even seem that phased, she practically likes it because he is at least being a 'man' she has this idea in her head that she wants him to be. When he does what he wants and nobody knows, she doesn't seem to care but the cheating thing broke that image. She seems to let a lot go. His character is playing videogames and fucking off like a lot of us to and whenever you take time away from a woman they harp. So I would say majority of that was actually normal.

As long as business bar stuff keeps doing well and they're financially set like they seem to be at end of the movie, only thing he would have to worry about is image.

You're right though being on your toes all the time is and would be hard. He would let his guard down because I have a feeling instead of going back to pretend happy, it would cycle from ugly to mutual coexistence kind of like we saw at end where she is laying on him.

Their kid is going to be brilliant and probably a little scary.

>>70584829

I mean he always has murder as leverage so all he would realistically have to do is build a strong enough case and place it somewhere safe and she would never do anything. She would have kid or kids and it would create a kind of detente.

>his son
of course, by that you mean NPH's son.
>>
>>70585215

Hearing the comments Fincher made about Affleck it kind of cracks me up, he was basically calling ben a piece of shit to his face but he still liked him. I mean I cannot think of a near recent story about a man cheating and getting away that unscathed. Arnie? I mean shriver still took him to woodshed. the public berated him but Affleck doesn't seem to have suffered that much. Even Pike spoke pretty well of him in that way women do when they like a guy. I would of assumed women would shit on him but nope, still like him.
>>
>>70585215
Half the movie was implying "amazing amy" was the "real" amy and everything she was for nick was an act.

its kind of hard to fake a pregnancy when you need the baby for leverage. She isn't going to put her body through that for some other guys dna. Especially if she loses control if he finds out it isnt his so the whole line of thinking is dumb. Guys jack off and she could easily got ahold of that.

Her relationship with NPH showed that she's been playing guys for years. She's just batshit. It had nothing to do with her husband.

She, herself, was insane. Not all women, not all women scorned. She's undefendable, and people trying to defend her are a bit insane themselves.
>>
>>70585625

lol. where the fuck are you getting this? NPH wasn't even considered until she got desperate
>>

The fuck are you blathering about.

The entire purpose of fucking NPH, beyond just having a one-sideded story of her lie of being a rape-slave for several months and his DNA in her cunt, was to get pregnant by him. She did. As nick hadn't so much as touched her since she got back because he saw she was a vile cunt.

So, once she mentioned she was pregnant, it should've been obvious to you it wasn't nick's kid. It should've been obvious it was NPH's kid, and it should've been obvious once nick wanted a paternity test, she was completely fucked. Because after that much time, there's simply no way she could've gotten NPH's dna to swap for nick's. Which should have led into everything unraveling. But, since the writer was a woman and she wanted a certain ending, she just had nick go "meh, whatever" to the prospect of raising another man's kid.

>The nph poster just keeps on rolling and now other people are talking about him

He was a beta orbiter dork that she strung along for amusement and then to use as a punishment against batfleck

>you kept me hanging for ten years!
>>
>>70585793

She cannot fake a test from an independent lab. She took his jerk off wad and used it. They're still viable outside the body up to 24 hours.
>>
>>70585822
...yes. That's true in addition to what I said.

I have no idea who or what the nph poster is.
>>
>>70582513
I mean yeah, she continued to try and he didn't want to anymore. People change overtime and she didn't really understand/accept it.
>>
>>70585793

I mean she could have saved his lab sample as well or jerked him off at night or one of many options, I can think of off the top of my head.
>>
>>70574798
Bitch, did you even see the fucking movie? The point is that the media is so blind and retarded and people would want to believe anything as long as there is a relatable victim that none of them would believe the truth even if it hits them in the face.
>>
>>70574798
maybe stick to capeshit
>>
>>70574584
Hire a fucking hitman to do her before she sics one on you. No co-existing with sociopaths - it's a matter of getting rid of them ASAP.
>>
>>70585974
That's a load of shit on a number of different factors.

>a girl who does everything perfectly becomes a childhood hero to millions

>her story was fucking stupid
>proving she lied to the world would mean exponentially more ratings than going with her bullshit
>>
>>70585847
Was that in the book? Cause it wasn't in the movie.

Its still pretty dumb for nick, living with a complete fucking psychopath, to do something stupid like leave his wad somewhere she could find. Then, of course, a lab just shrugging and going "okay" to a woman bringing a wad of tissue for artificial insemination.
>>
>>70585337
You
>>
>>70585759
considering how soft she went with NPH compared to her other suiters (sex offender registry, framed for murder), its pretty clear she still wanted something about him. Gee, I wonder what that could've been.
>>
>>70586345

stick it in a cup with a covering and I'm guessing they've seen worse, whichever lab they were working with has probably seen all sorts of stuff but after he said 'how' and 'test' and she was completely confident it would come back positive, it leaves a few options.

She kept a frozen sample, she stole a wad or night rode him or something.
>>
>>70586423

she tossed him away like garbage, let it go. You want to see her going easy on someone look at all the shit she put up with affleck. She literally saved his ass.
>>
>>70586546
I mean, its okay if you missed something basic in the movie. I mean finchner puts in completely unnecessary scenes and elements all the time. Can't be blamed for thinking NPH's scenes were just filler.

oh wait
>>
Honestly I was super fucking attracted to her character. Would ride that shit out happy as a clam for the rest of our lives together. Yeah it is insane to most people but undying loyalty like that is something unheard of in today's society. I'm just super insecure in relationships because I've had a few girls cheat on me so when I was watching this film I couldn't help but feel a little regret because a girl like that probably doesn't exist and if she does the chances of finding her are one in a million.

If a girl said "I've killed for you" I don't know how much faster I would be able to drop my pants for her. Shits fucking hot as fuck. All it takes is undying loyalty in return. She already said she would never hurt him and it's one of the few times in the film I felt she was telling the truth.
>>
>>70586710

you're either worst bait poster I've seen or a conspiracy theorist that thinks everything is important and inner connected. Try thinking outside of the movie and using logic.

You absolutely cannot fudge an independent lab. You can try to blackmail or bribe them I suppose but paternity is a big industry for them. She can control things on her end but not what they're going to do. It wouldn't take much to create a fake letter saying they got rid of his sample. She has entire file drawers of shit and plans everything out by ten steps at a time. Maybe it was part of a backup plan.

your posting motivation comes off like either a beta orbiter yourself or maybe you're gay and like NPH or something, I don't know but its weird.

Why don't you tell me with any source or logic why you think the kid is NPH's.
>>
>>70586504
The problem with your explanation of amy stealing nick's semen somehow, from somewhere, not shown or established anywhere, is it just opens more questions. Why did nick suddenly get over his fear and anger and decide to jerk off? Why was the lab perfectly fine with pulling a clearly non-consenting sample from a wad of tissue? When? How was there no paper trail? etc, etc.

The much, much more likely scenerio is she got herself knocked up by NPH, then bluffed (easy for a pyscho) when nick challenged her to a DNA test. But the problem here is in order for nick to not call her bluff, he'd have to suddenly forget shes psychotic and capable of telling any lie with any emotional inflection she wishes. Meaning this is just a clear case of the writer forcing the narrative the way she wanted it to go.
>>
>>70586895

No it just means the story got cut off before we saw resolutions, I mean they can test the umbilical cord once the pregnancy is over and that would be easy for him to grab.
>>
>>70586882
>Why don't you tell me with any source or logic why you think the kid is NPH's.

Cause he came and she specifically waited till he came to slash his throat, then stayed on him till he stopped coming, even though he was spraying blood all over her.

Your theories for the pregnancy require entirely new scenes, entities, and of course, paper trails, which just add to the mountain of evidence against her.
>>
>>70586989

You need to go rewatch the movie, he was mid-thrust when she sliced his throat.
>>
>>70586973
>the story got cut off before we saw resolutions

It really doesn't. According to the author everything goes exactly to amy's plans foreverafter. The end.
>>
>>70586423
>>70586710
Desi was her college boyfriend. She was his oneitis. She left him, and filed restraining order against him because he couldn't let her go.

She clearly appreciated his wealth, intellect etc. He was cultured, had great taste. But that was it, she didn't feel the same way.
>>
>>70586989

Also she knows he wants to send her away or get out of it, it not being his real kid would fuck all her plans and makes no sense whatsoever.
>>
>>70587019
You need to go watch the movie again. She kept him inside her while he was dying and they specifically show her pulling him out.
>>
>>70587028

I don't think Fincher's story and hers are that similar to be honest. He changed a lot of shit so I haven't been arguing from the book just the movie.
>>
>>70587048
Yea, she just wanted him a sperm donor and a better father for him.

She didn't want him completely and totally ruined, like she wanted nick and sex-offender-guy.
>>
>>70587063

My point is you have the same evidence I do and if it isn't his, the first chapter in the next part of that story is him leaving.
>>
>>70587082
Bitch who wrote the book has sole writing credit on the screenplay.
>>
>>70587110
The point you're missing here, my point, is the author forced a resolution on all fronts because she wanted a certain ending. Basically every character except amy had good reasons to see amy destroyed. But the author just goes "NOPE THE END AMY WINS!"
>>
kill her

people will believe she orchestrated her disappearance again
>>
>>70587120

And she admits Fincher helped her in the extras. The book is different from movie though I'm guessing that was as much for structure as content.
>>
>>70587168
The same conclusion is forced in the book as in the screenplay, though. Just as there's just as much implication in the movie as the book as the kid was going to pop out with blond hair, despite that not being possible.
>>
>>70587120

As further preparation, Flynn studied screenplay books and also met with Steve Kloves, who wrote the screenplays for the Harry Potter series.[10] Fincher also provided guidance and advised the author: "We don't have the ability to gift the audience with the characters' thoughts, so tell me how they're behaving."[11] During the production of the final screenplay, Fincher and Flynn engaged in an intensive back-and-forth working relationship: Flynn sent Fincher "big swaths" of writing, which he then reviewed, and Fincher would then discuss the swaths with Flynn by telephone. Eventually, some scenes were rewritten "a dozen times", while other scenes were unaltered.[8]
>>
Do they say the name of the movie in the movie?
>>
>>70587225
>here, let me copy/paste some wikipedia shit that means/proves absolutely nothing.

If bitch had sole writing credit, that means she had final say on everything writing related.
>>
>>70587269

he literally guided her on the whole thing. The book and movie are different. We're talking about just the movie and that is what I've been saying, based on narrative we've seen no reason to believe she couldn't keep his sample, especially if she wanted to keep him happy. She killed NPH for Cheatflek
>>
>>70587091
I think that was more about having proof that he raped her, so that Nick could be exonorated. The moment she saw him on the talkshow, she forgave him and plotted to save him.
>>
best thread on tv
>>
>>70587336
The problem is even if it isn't NPH's kid, and shes artificially inseminated herself (somehow, off camera, never implied) with nick's cum, you're just adding more shit to the pile of evidence against her, as there would be a paper trail of any such procedure.

If she just got his semen somehow and used a turkey baster, suddenly nicks retarded because its necessary for the conclusion the author wanted.

No matter what the case, nick pussying out of the paternity test was basically the point when the movie went completely up the author's cunt and vanished completely. The author forced the conclusion she wanted by having everyone with the inclination and resources to destroy amy pussy the fuck out for no good reason.

I mean, we're basically arguing the same thing here. There is no way she could've faked a false positive on a paternity test. So you're taking that to mean it had to be nick's kid. I'm taking it to mean the author, knowing that, just had everyone back away from that whole thing and ended the book right there because, otherwise, it wouldn't have had the ending she wanted.
>>
>>70587846
if you're afraid to reply/discuss anything for fear of being "trolled/baited/whatever" why are you on the internet at all?
>>
>>70587788

Oh I see what you're saying, and I agree with you on the backing away part but I also think nick would at least back away since it is the thing he wanted the most which is why she did it in first place and you're right her hood winking him had me laugh because they're trying to play it up like they're equal and this is where it started with me. I started the rabbit hole of trying to fix shit writing.

I was like okay so either it isn't his kid which I've now come to disagree with obviously or she got it somehow even though they showed him locking the door at night. So that's where my ideas sprang from but you're right the narrative was forced at the end but that was also why I posted the wiki part.

It basically said they already had the ending and forced everything to fit her round hole with square peg.

Wrong thread, fàm. This one is autistic, but has some nice discussion.
>>
>>70587909
... well shit.

uh. now what?

do we start talking about which character was our waifu/husbando?
>>
>>70588260

Yeah you're we were really fighting over semantics, well I guess thread over heh.
>>
>>70581594
have you seen savages? she literally gave me autism from how retarded she is
>>
>>70588260

Though shit I did remember why I first came into the thread and now remember haven't said shit about it was Tyler perry who surprisingly didn't act like an idiot and was a decent actor which was really weird, he usually sticks to black entertainment he creates or bad shit like alex cross stuff so I was really surprised that I liked him. Maybe it was just because he was bouncing off of aloofleck
>>
>>70588572
Maybe hes secretly a good actor.

More likely fichner hit him with the "100 takes for every shot" thing and literally fought him to get a good performance out of him.
>>
>>70589328

I haven't studied Fincher much but is that his thing? so many takes to find something or have other takes for just in case type of shit?
>>
>>70589348
According to what I've read, every scene gets 100 takes. Every single one. Then he pulls what he wants from editing.

Nah, her weight fluctuates through out the movie. She was at her best when she lived at that guys house.
