It's an excellent thriller that makes a story about a man trapped in a crevice for 90% of the movie immensely entertaining. I think it's Danny Boyle's best, and the movie would get much more recognition and attention if it didn't come out right after Slumdog Millionaire stole conversations. A lot of people were shitting on 127 Hours (and still do) just because they think Slumdog is overhyped and didn't get to complain about it when it was relevant.

i watched an interview with Aron Ralston where he goes back to the canyon and talks about cutting his arm off, before i saw the movie. his description of it is a lot worse than any part of the movie.
