Is every King of the Hill episode basically
>Strawman comes onto the show
>Hank is a good boy, he dindu nuffin - he just wanted to mow his lawn. He was getting his propane career back on track!
>Strawman is defeated in some way by Hank's old fashioned ways
Or am I missing something?

You forgot
>hank surrounded by morons
>moron tries to improve their life
>moron fucks up or falls victim to plot
>hank has to fix it
JUST
The later episodes definitely relied on that formula more. The show declined slowly after season 5.

you are wrong OP
sometimes the episode is about Hank being stubborn and finding out in the end that maybe he shouldnt always be such a stickler
sometimes the episode is about peggy being delusional and finding out in the end that she's just a mom and wife and nothing more really
sometimes the episode is about one of hank's friends being stupid and degenerate
bascially what you're missing is that not every episode is about an "outsider" who is a strawman, lots of the episodes are about the family or hank's friends and their interrelations
0 of the episodes are constructed around that narrative dynamic, believe it or not, OP. Have a good one

This
The episode that comes to mind is the one where Bobby finds out about "Christian Rock". Hank meets that dad at the end who had the Ten Commandments tattooed on his back and he realizes that everyone (except Bobby) can worship God in their own way and its okay.

lots of episodes about the father-and-son relationship too
>>70479596
>The one where Bobby is a better shot than Hank
>That "LET'S GO GET ICE CREAM" moment at the end where they almost leave Peggy at the gun range

That's literally the pilot nigga.

The outsider isn't defeated in the pilot by Hank, though he does blow up at him, he's fired by his own boss who realizes he's a ninny.
