Sometimes you watch a movie for more than just the plot. On successive watches I'll notice things I missed before. Set design, subtle lighting cues, good lines, etc that I didn't absorb the first time.

I just felt really, really bad the entire time I was watching it. There isn't much that shocks me if I see it here but the pedophilia and the sexual obsessions superimposed over the clean, bright, suburban setting was jarring and made me feel dirty. I didn't know anything about it going into it so that may have something to do with it.
