David Bowie was a mediocre songwriter and mediocre lyric writer, whose only claim to fame was that he was exceptionally-handsome in an "otherworldly" manner. In essence, he helped largely to bring about the "visual" side of popular music, which started the downward-slide of the quality of music in general. The results today, speak for themselves.

David Bowie is part of the cancer that destroyed music. I hope he died very painfully in return.

>>
>>70461201
Well, the US and Australia both have problems with scale. All the huge (by land area) countries run into it.

You need enough money to build the infrastructure plus connect it to the nearest also large point of infrastructure. In the united states, while we do have fuckhuge cities, there's a lot of people that live pretty spread out from one another. Areas with a low population density are usually last to get infrastructure upgrades and first to have their infrastructure monopolized, and trust law only applies on a national scale.

Many small towns only have one internet service provider that charges Google Fiber costs for basic DSL, and there's not really anything we can do about it. Larger, more advanced companies won't move in due to the town either legislating against it or a lack of a large enough customer base to pay off building the infrastructure, and more people won't move in because there's no infrastructure. It's a cycle of stagnation.

Labyrinth is aggressively unique.

warcraft is regurgitated tolkien and a disservice to the franchise it's attempting to translate to the big screen.
>>

This doesnt make sense.

The franchise was obviously much more popular 10 years ago (or even 5) than it is today. I dont see the relevance of number of players. Nor do I see why that would stop them from making a movie before.

They were getting bukkaked with investor money based upon the flub/lie/misrepresentation they were pulling several billion dollars a year. They never were. He's right though. Video games is the highest form of art because it contains literally every other form of art, and then interaction on top of that. And not just the three things he mentioned either.

A full-featured video game contains

-Drawn and painted art
-Sculpture, in the form of 3D models
-Animation
-Writing
-Screenplay
-Cinematography
-Choreography
-Musical composition
-Sound design
-Programming

Every other medium is basically a stepping stone on the way to video games.

Video games may be high art in theory, but in practice nearly everyone who works on video games is a talentless hack. That's why, when an actual artist with vision, dedication and money starts making video games, there's a huge chance they'll be successful.

But because it's a new medium and still seen as "for kids", just like animation and comics in America, it doesn't attract a lot of them.

For people who have never play shooters

>the best moba
For people who never play mobas

>the best rts
For people who never play rts

>the best mmo
For people who never played other mmos

This is my point. Blizzard make derivative and entry-level games for the gaming plebs that play WoW (such as yourself), and bank on the fact that they've hardly ever played any other games in each of these genres, and will become addicted just as they did with WoW. It's like people who get taken to a shitty restaurant for their 16th birthday and like the food, so they eat there for the next 30 years without bothering to try better alternatives.
It's a clever business model and Blizzard know what they are doing, but it doesn't make Blizzdrones (you) any less clinically retarded.
The only game on your list that has any merit as being the best of it's genre is Hearthstone, and that's purely down to the fact you can count the well-funded trading card video games on one hand.

You are a drone. Blizzard could serve you a plate of shit and you WOULD pay $15 a month for it, eat it, love it and then spend your weekends defending it to people you don't know on an anonymous imageboard.

Consider suicide.

>the best shooter since unreal tournament
Wait are you referring to Overwatch?
You don't actually believe this do you?

considering blizzard's reputation is basically built around the idea (lie) that WoW makes over a billion dollars ever year, no, 200-300m is not a success.

there's a few online versions of MtG that were making dosh, but they didn't really set the world on fire because MtG addicts are tactile fetishists.

The percentage isn't a grade. 50% wouldn't mean it's a 50/100 movie, it would mean 50% of the critics that saw it liked it. It could be at 25% but overall the average score could be 6/10. Maybe you shouldn't have been using RT as a 'theatrical bible' or whatever the fuck you're talking about if you have no idea how it works you retard.

Their biggest mistake was expecting normies to care about Warcraft.

funny you mentioned that, a year ago they actually stopped reporting their sub numbers. WoD was so awful that it caused millions upon millions of people to give up on the game for good, and they were so embarrassed that they stopped showing sub numbers all together.

People and third party sites have estimated that there are still maybe 5 mil people playing the game worldwide, and that includes the Chinese which account for more than half of people still subbed. The game went down in flames with the likes of ghostcrawler and holinka.

the reason why sub numbers is relevant is because if you're still playing WoW after all this time you're very much going to see the movie. If it had been released 7-8 years ago at the peak of WoW's popularity then not only would it have avoided the butt fucking it got from critics, it would have had a star wars kind of effect where people would happily shovel kylo ren shit into their mouths and feel like they were honored to do so.

Blizzard didn't made anything good since WotLK. But this movie is best fantasy movie after LotR and best movie of 2016 yet. Critics can gtfo.

>For people who never play mobas
Which moba is better? Dota 2 and LOL are overcomplicated mess without the Blizzard™ refinement.

>For people who never play rts
Westwood is dead as shit, and even then their games weren't better than Starcraft, Warcraft 2 and 3.

>For people who never played other mmos
I played shit tons of korean and western mmos in the early 2000s, and none compared to WoW for at least a decade.

>For people who have never play shooters
I've played Quake 1, 2, 3, Doom 1, 2, Unreal Tournament, and of course TF2. I stopped playing FPS games for a really long time, but Overwatch brought me back to it.

>Blizzard make derivative and entry-level games
Easy to play, hard to master.

Most of the US is basically empty land. Montana is around the size of Britain and could house everyone from the UK in it quite easily.

I am oldfag gamer and i played warcraft campaing actualy and you can call me lorefag, just watched this movie and i have to say im pretty disapointed, they missed the oportunity, They didnt explained why are orcs in Azeroth, they didnt explaind why did Medivh opened a portal, they even didnt mention Burning legion, so ordinary viewer will not get imersed in the story because he thinks Orcs and Humans fights for the sake of fight they wont see the real depth and brilliant story why is this invasion orchestrated and who is behind this... Dumb all in all...
